I find tattoos and piercings very attractive. Not when people go crazy with every possible facial piercing, or dick piercings and clit piercings, but a simple, classy amount. I think guys look great with the side of their lip pierced and an eyebrow ring, and girls look great with lip rings, monroes, and nose rings. As for tattoos, I absolutely love sleeves and back pieces, etc. I myself have a decent size tattoo and plan on getting many more.

As I'm sure you know, many jobs will not hire people with facial piercings or visible tattoos because it's said to "offend" people. I think as long as people don't go incredibly overboard, they should be allowed to have visible facial piercings and tattoos, no matter what the job. It's an individuality thing, who's to say whether it's wrong or right? I get a kick out of people that say it's self mutilation and unnatural, yet they have their hair dyed and a fake tan. (no offense, I also have both of those.) Honestly, what's your opinion?

I love tattoos and piercings. What looks good on one person can look trashy on the next, making it as personal as hair color and clothes. Plus you have so many options with both. I have five piercings, have had two others, plans for more.I also have one tattoo for now. It's three weeks old and I love it. Starting to plan my next one out of the designs I've narrowed them down to. People can think what they want. They are for me. I have my hair dyed too and used to tan but it was pointless for me. People that have a fake look like that but condone others for their personal choices are being hypocrites. It's their life and this is mine. I wont tell you that you are wrong for baking your skin in a bed if you wont tell me I'm wrong for getting piercings and a tattoo. I like to live by the treat others as you would want to be treated.

I don't really care whether someone is tattooed/pierced or not. But I have a tattoo (more to come), and a nose piercing. So who am I to judge someone based on what they've done to their body? What they've had done affects me in no way whatsoever. I love looking at other people's artwork, I'm always curious about it. It kind of gives you an idea of what that person is about.
I also think tattoos and piercings are sexy, in moderation. That guy that's tattooed like a leopard or whatever is a little too much lol.
Although many places don't allow visible tattoos and piercings, times are changing. I've been in a bank and saw tellers with nose piercings. I work in an office, and I am allowed to wear skirts, which shows the tattoo on my ankle. And there are many people on here with many tattoos that are professionals. So people are coming around.
I think within the next 20 years, it won't matter, because so many people of my generation (I'm 22) have piercings and tattoos, so we accept it, and we will be the majority of the workforce.

I love tattoos, I find them to be very sexy, like Travis Barker, His are so sick!! But remember that people are looked down upon who have tattoos and piercings so you may want to start off slow and wait it out, if you are young and don't yet have a career, try getting some where people can't see, and make sure you always remove piercings when you have an important event. Like a job interview!! But for me I love tattooed and pierced men, I think they are interesting an very self expressive, It's just a shame that people are so judgmental, and you have to worry about not getting a job just because you have a tatoo or facial piercing.

Unfortunately all of this is looked down upon. I waited to start going crazy until I had a good job that saw me for me and learned about my good work ethics first. Now I have many tattoos and a few piercings. Everyone just laughs when I get something new. They know I'm good inside, even if I'm a little crazed on the outside. I just love the ink!

i love piercings and tattoos personally. i have two tattoos, both on my back, one upper and one lower. I plan on getting more. I also have three holes towards the bottom of my ear on each ear. I have two cartilage piercings in one ear and one in the other. I have my nose and naval pierced as well. It really bugs me that people judge you by the fact you have a piercing on your face. My nose looks simple and classy. It is just a silver stud. I know employers want you to look good so you can sell whatever or make a good impression towards whatever you are doing, but we deal with all types of people all day and frankly, small piercings on the face do not really matter.

cancerous cell development? come on, everything causes cancer. geez...

Anyways, I love tattoos and piercing. And I'm just like you, I don't like them over done. I think eyebrows and lip are sexy on guys and nipples are sexy for either men or women. I'm thinking bout getting a monroe. I think they look very classy actually, especially if for a second you can't tell it's pierced or not. I've got my nose pierced and think it just added a little bit of sassy to my look.

It personally does not and never has offended me to walk into a store and see someone pierced or tattooed. It makes me want to shop at that place a little more actually. I hate the tattoo stigma. I really hope I live to see it played out. I think it's totally unfair to judge someone by what's on their outside. I am a good person, just because I like tattoos doesn't make me a "freak" or an evil person or whatever else conservative brain damaged people might want to call me.

well i have snake bites 14g and i am 17 i look at it this way as long as you dont gage to high the piercing will close all you have to do is take it out if you are looking to get a good job. Tattoos keep them above the elbow and make them some where that cant be seen in a work area then you will be fine i am getting a tattoo in a few more months.

I love tattoos and piercings. My last girlfriend has more tattoos than I have, and I have both arms, back and chest done. They are a turn-on.

Piercings are still not acceptable enough to be worn while working and can easily be taken out for a shift, then put back in. It doesn't take much effort. I'm pierced 8 times and have never put one in my face.

Blegh. I wish everyone thought the way you did on this subject.
I can't even get a job in the mall because no one wants me to have my lip piercing in. [I wear a tiny pink stud.] I'm 18. I'm looking for some crap min. wage job to help me pay my rent. They don't care about my nose ring, as some stupid manager or something said, it's "more normal."
...
So because everyone and their brother decided to get their noses pierced that means I can have mine? Pft. Lame.

I wish jobs would look at you for you, and not for the jewelery you wear. I don't see any place I'm applying to telling me not to wear my engagement ring. If they did, I'd tell them the same thing I say after I get turned down for suggesting I wear a clear lip ring during the day, eff off. xD

It's not as if I'm applying to a law office, or a doctors office. It's nothing professional where you have to look and dress a certain way. It's a mall. No one seriously thinks that highly of you for working in a mall anyways. >.<

Mmk. Sorry for that. Haha.

/endrant.
