find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
dont try to lose more than 1-2lbs a week - its not healthy to lose more.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food.

If you are 16 you should not be worrying about your weight unless your a very overweight. Going on extreme diets at your age can be unhealthy for your growing process. Just make sure you eat healthy foods like fruit and vegetables, and eat plenty of protein such as chicken and fish. Try to do some sort of excerise each day for atleast 15 minutes. You will lose weight.

Losing weight quickly is never the healthiest and safest route to take when weight loss is needed. You need to figure out what is your caloric expenditure and caloric intake is. You need to be 3500 calorie deficient to lose one pound of fat.. do the math and eat healthy portioned size meals...eating more frequently will help activate metabolism and make you less hungry throughout the day..only drink water with every meal..a healthy weight loss program is losing 1.5 - 2 lbs a week...ITS NOT A DIET TO FOLLOW, IT NEEDS TO BE A CHANGE IN LIFESTYLE.

Stop drinking soda and eating fast food altogether. Mild exercise at least 30 minutes a day: walking. Drink a lot of water and take vitamins!

Cut back on carbohydrates (white foods like rice, potatoes, bread, pasta) and get moderate amounts of exercise.
Cut out the sodas and sweets as well...
Good luck :)
