On Wednesday morning, Rosie O’Donnell revealed she is leaving “The View” after only one controversial season on the morning chatfest.
“I’ve decided we couldn’t come to terms with my deal,” Rosie said on-air.
The network also confirmed Wednesday that they were unable to come to terms on another contract with the star.
"I wanted one year, they wanted three years," Rosie said of the negotiations. But don’t fret just yet, O’Donnell added: "I'm not going away. I'm just not going to be here every day."
Barbara Walters, co-anchor and creator of “The View,” revealed she's "grateful" that O'Donnell spent a year with the show and admitted she's "sad" Rosie is leaving. She added they have not even begun to search for Ro’s replacement.
The president of ABC daytime programming says they knew when they first hired O'Donnell that anything longer than a one-year stay would be "gravy."
He added that the ABC hopes O'Donnell will do a series of one-hour specials for the network and maybe even guest host once in a while.

Being that she hasn't announced her nationally televised suicide, i don't really care much about what's happening.
I did hear that bob barker is leaving the price is right & rosie is one of the possible replacements.... I hope her leaving the view isn't an indication that it may be true. I'd NEVER watch PIR again if she's on it. That obnoxious heffer.

She's leaving The View. Not clear if she wanted to or was let go. Some stories say she only wanted a one-year contract and was offered a three-year contract: take it or leave.

How far behind? She came out a few years ago...which was the worst kept secret in America.
Snoop Dogg would have been more convincing trying to tell the world that he was white, than Rosie trying to tell the world she's straight.

Rosie says that she only wanted to be on The View for one more year and The View wanted her for three more years and so she decided not to renew her contract. Hmmmmm . . . something didn't sound right there.

apparently she left the view because her contract expired (she only signed a deal for 1 year).. but she is coming back to guesthost. however, many people believed she is leaving because of the tension between her and the other cast members of the show...

She wanted more time to hang upside down, strictly for therapy, not because she thinnnks she's a sloth or a vampire bat....so she quit The View.

She didn't like her new contract for the next 3 years.
Poor thing.
Even if she received NO raise, she'd still bring home 3 million per year.
"Hell hath no fury..."

I think Donald Trump said that she lost popularity and retings because all the overweight women don't watch tv anymore because they are on diets. Not sure though.
