He is thinking that if he ignores you the problem will go away.
At this point it is time to turn up the heat a little bit. Call and tell him that if he doesn't call by a certain date and time that you are going to contact an attorney. This should get his attention.

He is in shock and hoping that if he doesn't call you, it will all go away and he won't have to think about it or deal with it. Avoidance is a common response to danger and being told you got someone pregnant is a huge load of danger. Call him and help him deal with it. You cared enough to sleep with him, now you need to care for each other. Take the first step.

He's probably devestated and is trying to decide what to do. This may be a wasted question, but why didn't you guys use protection? You can't speak for him, but why didn't you? You may be on your own so far as raising the child is concerned, but there are laws in this country that require this guy to pay child support. No matter how upset he is, he needs to tell you what he's going to do. If he's going to marry you, that's fine. If not, you'll have to plan on suing him for child support.

Umm he's thinking he
- wants no part of it
- dosen't know how to react (scard, nervous, shock)
- dosen't think its his?
Its hard to tell what's going through someone else's mind but knowing your pregnant he shouls actaully care enough to call and see how your dealing with it.Its not easy especially doing it alone.

What are you thinking by asking an obvious question like this? This is like standing in a thunderstorm and asking why you're getting wet!

He's thinking that he doesn't want to admit that he is the father and also he realizes this would be 18 years of child support out of his pocket. period.

they probably aren't thinking anything, they just don't know what to say. It might be a shock to them--not a bad thing, but maybe they were a lil surprised.

It doesn't matter what they think but what they do, and what they are doing in this case is to scape from a responsability.
The important thing is what are you thinking!
