I remember watching a programme a few years ago about the European food mountains and was totally astonished by it.
These giant storehouses held grain and various foods like fruit for example that were destined to be destroyed as the excuse was that it would cost too much to ship it out to poor countries,one of these grain stores would easily have fed at least 20 villages for a month.

This is your OPINION, and it is wrong. This guy you speak of has had 2000+ years to feed the world, and has failed miserably. How about justice, removal of greed and the removal of despot tyrannical leaders who prevent food from getting to the poor?

Or to have a sensible global agricultural policy without wars and corrupt regimes to interfere with it.

or maybe god could just turn the deserts into fertile farmland thereby not only proving he exists but solving world hunger. Or maybe jesus could have done this when he was here.
