Its one thing when a church tolerates blatant sin by the flock...
...but how can any church continue tolerating (endorsing? approving? SANCTIFYING?) the ongoing homosexual sins of its church leaders, its shepherds?

1 Cor 6:9,10, KJV... Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

I'm guessing that a gay Episcopal priest at least has to be "married" to his homosexual partner, otherwise they'd be fornicators in addition to "abusers of themselves with mankind". Anglicans / Episcopalians... is that true, are all of your gay priests and bishops "married" to their sexual partners?


Are Anglicans and Jehovah's Witnesses at opposite sides of this issue?

It seems more significant that these so-called church leaders are opposite the bible with this issue.

(Galatians 5:16-17) Keep walking by spirit and you will carry out no fleshly desire at all. For the flesh is against the spirit in its desire, and the spirit against the flesh; for these are opposed to each other

(1 Timothy 1:10-11) Fornicators, men who lie with males, kidnappers, liars, false swearers, and whatever other thing is in opposition to the healthful teaching according to the glorious good news of the happy God

No Province of the Anglican Communion has approved ceremonies for same-sex marriages. Bishop Robinson is not civilly married as there is no such thing in the United States. I believe individual parishes or individual priests have ceremonies, but while these are allowed they are not (yet) approved and are not 'offical'.

If an Anglican province doesn't have an approved same sex marriage ceremony, it can't require one of laity or clergy. In that case, I presume 'sincerity' satisfies some inner need to justify their acts before God.

Lets see what the Bible says.

Genesis 2:24 “A man will leave his father and his mother and he must stick to his wife and they must become one flesh.” --- Ok so we see it this is the union between a male and female. It clearly says “a MAN will leave HIS” “Man” and “his” are words used referring to MALE. It then says “HE (meaning male) will stick to HIS (yep male again) WIFE” there we go… wife is the female. So what it’s saying is the a male will marry a female. One flesh = marriage. Jesus referenced these scriptures here at Matt 19:3-6.

Vine’s Expository Dictionary of Biblical Words, - The Hebrew word “wife, connotes one who is a female human being.”

Genesis 19:4, 5 - “The men of Sodom. . . surrounded the house, from BOY to old MAN, all the people in one mob. And they kept calling out to Lot and saying to him: ‘Where are the MEN who came in to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may have INTERCOURSE with them.’” --- Ok… so male figures are yelling to Lot asking Lot to send the two MALES out so they can have sex with them. Do you remember what happened to the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah? Yeah that’s right Jehovah (by the way that’s Gods name) destroyed them!! All gone, Bye bye. Why did God destroy those two cities? One of the reasons is because of Genesis 13:13 “And the men of Sodom were bad and were gross sinners against Jehovah.”

Who can forget Leviticus 18:22 Where Jehovah commanded his ancient people: “You must not lie down with a male the same as you lie down with a woman. It is a detestable thing.”
Detestable: deserving to be detested; abominable; hateful.

Same scripture the in the question 1 Cor 6:9,10 - 9 What! Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators … nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men, 10 … will inherit God’s kingdom.

So for those who may need it put simple…Can a male and a male or female and female conceive a baby together? No, they can’t. When God put Adam and Eve on the earth one of the things he told them to do was go make babies. You need sperm and an egg. Males = sperm. Females = egg. Simple.
