Did you think to check the title or do you not have it or is it wrong also?

Most car manufacturers also place the VIN no. on a chassis plate under the bonnet, and sometimes also etch it in to the chassis inside and under the carpet by the drivers door, or in the boot area. If they are good at it, then they will leave a small flap in the carpet under which you will find the no. Otherwise contact a dealership and they should be able to tell you once you give them the make, model and year of manufacture.

On most Ford's, it's on the driver side door or the B-pillar as well.
But why would that one be "wrong"?

It's on the door opening or the driver's door. Also, if a newer model, it will be in the pcm. ( the computer )
