The fleas are coming from under the building where cats used to live until they were captured and relocated. Employees on the end where the fleas are are getting bitten since they've come indoors. They're spraying outside but it doesn't help the folks inside the building. Is there anything natural that will deter them from biting the employees besides downing garlic?

Vacuum, vacuum, vacuum, until the fleas are gone. Spraying does not effect eggs or cocoons.

Don't use something "natural"... In a commercial building that's just not the way to go.

Your employees are not there at night, hopefully.

I had this in my home and found that bug bombs work if you use them right. They kill only live fleas so the eggs would hatch and I had to bug bomb every 4 days for 6 sessions to get rid of them all. This worked well, and hopefully you can do the same.

You could also have a professional pest control come in to treat where the cats were, but if the fleas moved up to an area where there is rug, they could be snuggled down in the rug fibers waiting.

The fleas will need to be exterminated inside the building to get rid of them.

I've heard that Avon Skin So Soft is good at keeping away mosquitos...perhaps that would work on keeping fleas off of people until the inside of the building is treated?

The floors in the building need to be treated with a proper spray from a vets (NOT a pet shop preparation) - one large bottle will cover a fair few square metres, so it shouldn't be horrifically expensive - certainly cheaper than calling exterminators!

Vacuum after spraying, and then repeat the process two weeks later to get the eggs that have hatched - as mentioned, sprays don't usually kills eggs or pupae.

Fleas are a major pest. There are various species of fleas - cat fleas, dog fleas, rat fleas and rabbit fleas.
You can get rid of them by the safest and cheapest methods like boric acid.
