There are Christian ministries that state that generational curses have to be broken in people's lives. However, Jesus came on earth, among other reasons, to heal people of all ailments and said on the cross "It is finished."

Do we still need to be delivered from generational curses and the like or has Jesus' death and resurrection meant that we can go directly to him for the answers?

This is something I am dealing with directly.

I think, based on what I am learning, is the difference between salvation and living in VICTORY.

If you believe in Christ and pray to him for salvation, you are saved. But you can still live, and we DO live, here on Earth where there are lots of problems to wade through.

Being saved will not necessarily save you from doing the same stupid things your parents did. Not unless you recognize the problem, claim victory, and achieve triumph over it THROUGH CHRIST.

Have you ever seen someone get saved? They still have to weed out any negativity or evil they have lived with prior to salvation.

Now, if you were born and raised in a spirit filled home and did not do very sinful things, then you still have to avoid those things.

Man is still separated from Christ, if only on this material plane...we are not immune to the whispers and lies of Satan.

I don't know if curses are generational in the sense of being on our heads at birth, but I do believe people REPEAT THE SAME PATTERNS OF BEHAVIOR if they are not vigilant.

Say you have a "cursed" parent. He or she made a lot of mistakes. He or she is not aware that what they are doing is a mistake (like marrying the wrong kind of person or something). They raise you and you see that and do the same thing. This is the way I believe people are cursed.

It is important to see our mistakes and our forbears' mistakes and not repeat them. We must remain "at post" to be sure we don't become sinful.

We do not live in the Garden with Christ, but on Earth, subject to all the frailties of the flesh.

Vigilance is living in victory. Only then can we be delivered from these "curses".

It is finished just about covers it, but we still have to be here everyday.

In a sense we have spiritual "genetics" as well as physical...things get handed down, weaknesses, tendencies etc. Like a tendency to alcoholism or addictive personality, or a family history of cancer, you can have a particular weakness in certain spiritual areas. Yes, some preachers take this concept too far, but it's good to know what you might need to talk to Jesus in depth about. And just like a person whose parents are alcoholics, the person with certain spiritual "genetic weaknesses" is wise to avoid those areas.

I constantly concept it became into greater regarding a relatives and became into surpassed all the way down to the subsequent technology of that relatives. as an occasion, the Kennedy's (JFK, JFK Junior and so on) are meant to be cursed. i'm undecided if the wish Diamond cursed basically the guy who owned it or the curse became into surpassed on with the aid of generations. additionally uncertain of people who chanced on Tutankhamen's tomb. i don't have self assurance in a curse for a whole technology as in technology X or Y however.

I think this is a faulty "either/or" question. Since kids learn a large part of their behavior from their parents, it's not too surprising to find that a sin might be passed down through several generations of a family. Thus, alcoholics tend to have children that become alcoholics, children who have abusive parents often abuse their children, etc. Regardless of a sin's origin, though, Jesus can cleanse and make us whole again.

uh we still war against demons and principalities and rulers in dark places so this does not mean your immune people seem to think jesus is the cure no in a sense he is but we have to constantly battle as long as we are in the flesh, jesus is just the extra armour and protection but these things still happen until we give it to him and spiritually fight it with him!!!!!

I never did believe that crap. It was written by people who confess in print that they spent 40 years circling the same mountain after escaping slavery. I really don't think they were very smart. Either that or they were blinded by religion and no one wanted to speak up and say, "hey, haven't we seen this before?"

Christianity rots your brain. Just say NO!

So your god is so vindicative he would punish someone because someone in their family committed a sin?

Maybe the key to breaking the curse is to stop believing in god?
