Sounds like it is very much a dental issue in this case.

You need to call the dentist first. This may be partially normal to experience this pain or it may mean that there is problem with the root canal. If the dentist finds nothing wrong you can then see a doctor.
I have never had bad sinus pain after a root canal.

See the dentist. This may not be sinus pain but merely referred pain from the treated tooth. Quite often a tooth problem will be felt as sinus pain or a sinus problem felt as toothache in an upper back tooth. Dentists are pretty good at deciding the cause and can then solve the problem if it's dental or refer you through for further advice.
Don't suffer unnecessarily, though. Speak to the dentist who will know best what you need.

Well considering your sinuses are above the area of your upper molars the root canal will cause some pain after the numbing wears off. If you begin running a fever or there is some foul smelling drainage then contact the dentist. Take some advil (#4 200mg tablets every 6 hours)

Call the dentist who did the work. If you need something for pain relief, the dentist can prescribe you something. I'm surprised you weren't given anything for pain after having a root canal done.
Also, you can see them to check if everything is okay.
The dentist did the work, so is the person to go to.

Take an over the counter sinus med. Wait an hour or two. Did the pain and pressure go away? If yes....don't call anyone. If no, call your dentist....it is pain from the abscessed tooth and not sinus pain.

Call the dentist first since it'll probably be faster to get a response from him/her. If you can't get through contact a doctor.

Hi.
If you cannot cope with the pain then see your dentist.
In the mealtime take pain relief ibuprofen 600mg three times per day + paracetamol/acetaminophen 1 gram 4 times per day. ( if you have no problems with these meds).
All your Dr can do is prescribe you painkillers.
