John the Baptist also wanted proof. Let's not even talk about Judas - he sold his soul for some silver, no one would do that in their right mind after seeing Jesus in person.

Jesus was mad at the disciples for their unbelief. Why should anyone else get an exemption?

"Finally he appeared to the eleven disciples while they were eating. He rebuked them for their unbelief and stubbornness, because they had not believed those who had seen him after he had risen." (Mark 16:14)

Firstly, MAN/WOMAN WOULD sell there soul to the devil EVEN after seeing JESUS. That's what humans are like, selfish, self centred, we have to question everything. WE ARE NOT PERFECT!!

As for JOHN the BAPTIST, at the time he questioned Jesus he was in Prison and pretty disillusioned and he was HUMAN so is not free from SIN. As did Thomas, he questioned what he could not see, another human fault!!

God DOES love EVERYONE - BUT - That does not mean that everyone is SAVED. Only through the GRACE of God can you be saved!!

No, that would be unreasonable. God understands sinful human nature, and the need for proof He exists. That's why He gave us the Bible- it is a record of what He has done and will do for mankind.

It is often when a person doubts that they make the effort to find the truth about God and His promises.

If we blindly follow what we are told regarding God without doing any research for ourselves or proving the "good and acceptable and perfect will of God," then really we are no better than those who scoff at His existence.

God outlines exactly how He wants us to serve Him and act as His people. But He doesn't make it compulsory, treating us like robots. He gives us the opportunity and the required reading to make the decision, then leaves it to us. He does, however, "desire us all to attain to repentance."

Just because Judas was one of the disciples doesn't mean he was saved. Jesus is with us in Spirit and people don't accept Him. He believed in Jesus but he did not have faith. As for Thomas and John the Baptist, I'm not sure which verses you are referring to.

Jesus told Thomas something like You see and you believe, how much more blessed are those who do not see, but believe.

God knows we are going to struggle at times and I don't think he gets really angry, disappointed I am sure at times. That is why he had to send Jesus to give us the tools (sacraments) to keep us in the grace of God.

Good Question!

Peace!

I think its humans that present God as an angry mean God. I think if you pray and ask in faith he is willing to give proof. God is always willing to work with people where they are. It's humans who put tough conditions on things. An honest transparent believer, will tell you that they have had times of unbelief.

Nope. As a matter of fact, in the book of Acts, there is a quick verse that applauds a group of people over the Thessalonians because when they heard Paul preach, they went into the "bible" to see if what he was preaching lined up with everything previous to that point.

God is not angry at people who have doubts. He specifically set this world up with conditions that allow uncertainty in order to help us really understand the principles of happiness.

He can and does tell us those principles in various ways, but there are also competing ideas. This requires us to observe the results of both good and bad decisions and come to understand the truth for ourselves.

In other words it would be easy for him to just tell us what to do and have us do it. That's not his goal. He wants us to understand the principles of truth as he understands them.

Who ever told you God hates doubt was just plain mean. God loves those who search for truth.

Even the very best Christians have had dark days. Days of despair and doubt.

God even loves those who don't believe in him.

God doesn't get angry with us for having doubt. Doubt is human nature and God loves us no matter what, our faith will vary through out our lifetime but Gods love for us is constant and never changing. That's pretty amazing.
