Carrots are very good for dogs, providing a natural source of vitamin A and beta carotene. That's why carrots are added to holistic dog food formulas, for there natural health benefits.
But a dog should only be fed COOKED carrots and not raw. Dogs can't digest raw carrots very well.

I have a APBT that has food allergies to meat products. I asked the vet about treats for her as my other two get Milk Bones. The vet said carrots. So all three of them get carrots as treats and they love them.

Most dogs love carrots and they are good for them. Just watch to make sure they don't swallow any chunks that are too large.
