Coastal flooding, drought, increased severity of storms (heat fuels storms). Temperature is the least important of these.

Having to move people and abandon stuff, economic disaster for rich countries. Poor countries have people dying of starvation because of damage to agriculture and no money.

The swindle movie is nonsense:

"A Channel 4 documentary claimed that climate change was a conspiratorial lie. But an analysis of the evidence it used shows the film was riddled with distortions and errors."

"The science might be bunkum, the research discredited. But all that counts for Channel 4 is generating controversy."

Gore's movie may be a little over dramatic, but it has the basic science right. This movie does not.

Channel 4 itself undercuts the movie in a funny way. If you go to their website on the movie you find links to real global warming information. They also have a way to "Ask the Expert" about global warming. The questions go to a respected mainstream scientist who supports (mostly) human responsibility for global warming.

Here a few sites that can give you some facts that you are most likely not hearing in your day to day life.

As for what should happen the best way to see this is to look at global history when the last 400 or so times that the planet has gone into a warming trend. Contary to the popular misinformation this happened before SUV's and even man. I dont know where the "man made" CO2 came from if man was not here to do it. The trend is not only limited to the Earth. It is happening to all the planets in the solar system (yes even the debunked Pluto). I can give you hundreds of scientific web sights that can help you understand this.

As for the person that mentioned the al gore movie, well I say watch it carefully with a copy of the book "The Politically Incorrect Guide to Global Warming" by Christopher C. Horner next to you. That movie is a fraud and full of half truths. Like the charts showing the CO2 and the temperture. If you look at the chart closely you will see the the temperture goes up first and then the CO2 raises. Also the famous polar bear photo is a photo shop work of art in fakery.

There is SOO much info out there on the web. However, BE CAREFUL! there is also a lot of wrong information floating around. Make sure any source you use has been backed up by scientific analysis performed by scientists without any hidden agenda (i.e. they are being paid by gas, coal or oil companies). Most of corporate America is in denial about Global Warming as dealing with the problem could potentially affect their profit margins. Anyway, here are a few resources that I think are pretty straight forward:

It has long been stated that what caused the ice age was volcanic smoke in the air which filtered out the sun light and made things cooler. So alongs comes The E P A and puts in a no burn ban and takes out what smoke that there was in the air letting in more sun light which is making things hotter and letting in more cancer rays, and to compound the problem the things which should have been burned is now rotting and giving off methane gas which causes more global warming. So all we need to do is go back to burning our leaves and trash to stop global warming. Note signs of global warming started with the burn ban.
