If you report your credit card missing before it is used without authorization, you may not be responsible for any of the unauthorized charges. Pursuant to federal law, if your credit card is used without authorization before you report it missing, the most you will be liable to pay is fifty dollars.

no....but hopefully you contacted the credit card company and explained the situation. when fraud is involved they send out some papers and you need to fill them out, and swear the debt was not incured by you.

No. Under Federal law your liability is limited to $50.00.

But you must notify the credit card company A.S.A.P.
