Microsoft has instituted many additional privacy protection devices. When you install a legal, purchased copy of MS software, the product key becomes mixed with information about the computer (serial number, etc.) and comes up with a new number called the "installation ID." When/If someone tries to install on a different computer, it will not fly. You will either be cut off at the pass, or, if it installs, you will be asked to purchase and activate.

Go to www.amazon.com and find a version at the lowest cost possible. Be sure to get it on CD and with a product key.

Perhaps you could've actually, you know, purchased the software legally??? If you've done so, you can look on the package itself, or call Microsoft for assistance.

Shy of that, download emule or similar and do a search for a product key.

Call Microsoft at 1-800-936-2197, or http://www.microsoft.com/office/pctrial/trialkey.mspx online or http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/genericDocument?lc=en&cc=us&docname=c00140368 for Hewlett Packard computers.

You will have to purchase one. Reusing one will not work since it is checked online.

You can't get one legally unless you pay for it!
