I've enclosed a website for back stretches that will help loosen the tight muscles.
Best wishes,

Tylenol is a pain killer but Motrin or Advil is a anti-inflammitory. In other words Motrin or advil may solve the problem while tylenol only hides the pain. You can try taking each togeather - 1 tylenol and 1 motrin or advil. That might help better than just taking the Tylenol. Also beware advil and motrin is kind of hard on the stomach so take with food and do not overdoo taking these.
I would go to the doctor and get a physical therapist to deal with the problem.
Avoid the chiropractor because they just 'move things around' and hope the solve the issue and they are not doctors or medically associated. Stay with doctors and physical theripast and they should be able to solve your problems.
Massage Theripasts (once a month) can offer relief but only if you are not currently in pain. They can help with flexability and loosness that can prevent the onset of back problems.

Have you tried any type of lower lumbar exercises? Have you had a bone density test lately male or female? Sometimes your pain can be from bone loss and you need more calcium or Vit D or even a prescribed drug for bone loss. I have this problem also but I use therma care 8 hr heat wraps, take Tylenol, go for massage therapy and the main one is doing pelvic tilts and lower leg lifts to strengthen the lower area.
Be sure to put a pillow under your knees when lying on your back and between your knees when on your side. It takes the pressure off the lower areas. Chiro will not help as it did not me and if it is muscle then they are not for that anyway. I also wear an adjustable back belt for anything which requires trunk bending.
Good luck,
LB!

Look up back stretches on the web. Often stretching the pain out is the best therapy. One especially to try is each am b4 getting out of bed pull your knees to your chest. Hold for 30-45 seconds. Roll over and arch your back like a cat. Hold an additional 30-45 seconds.

You should be going to a chiro. Most I know will let you pay as you can. Mine even has a family plan so the more that go the less you pay. Please check it out and find one who will. You will be glad you did.
