when arguing with atheists most people say "lead a good life and have faith in God"....but when they discover a homosexual/lesbian amongst them(gays CAN be believers too) they talk about "hell"

so that means to get to heaven u
1.be good (this doesn't seem to be mandatory since God is all forgiving-christians never tick off other christians saying"even if u believe in God,he won't let u into heaven if u're not good")

2. have ULTIMATE,unquestioning faith in God
3.be straight (?)

and before everyone starts saying stuff to me I AM STRAIGHT ;Plol! please don't make comments on my sexual orientation coz that's not the issue i'm askin about!

if faith is all that's necessary then why the @#$% do u ppl make such a big deal about variations in people...homosexuality is the most major variant that i can think of right now and it doesn't seem right to condemn because of their sexuality?

i mean,it's a natural thing right? so God must have created them that way???

First you need a ladder cos you wont get up there without one, then you will need a wad of dollars cos you will need to bung a couple of angels a bribe, cos you know you aint gettin in without it (and you know why)
if the angels dont accept the bribe just wait till night falls so you can poison those two white Dobermans , and climb over those pearly gates.
mind the razor wire thats hidden in the clouds , and you are almost there , but you will need a gift to give to your maker..may I suggest a sack load of pornography. cos hes bored of doin it with angels cos those wings get in the way plus they make him sneeze. and thats it.

It talks in the old testiment about unstraight people. It dosent talk to highly about them either, if i remember right it says,
Whoever layth with an animal like he shall a woman, he should be killed, if a man lays with a man the way he is to lay with a woman, he shall be killed. And then it says the smae thing with girls. God only forgives those who follow him. You cant be forgiven if you don't believe, and don't feel it in your heart. God looks at the heart mainly, not the deeds. So if your a believer, and have faith that he will guide your ways, and follow his, you will go to heaven. Really, people see being a Christian as a hard task, but its really a great path that not only brought happiness and joy into my life, but has kept me out of trouble with the law, helped me from not having sex before marriage, and accorse there are still the future things ahead. Don't ever let Satan bring you down, we all make mistakes, you arnt the only one. Alot of people think that they are the only ones in the church making that mistake, but i can assure you, no matter the size of the church there is at least another one, to a degree.

Keeping the ten commandments and just a being a good person will not get you into Heaven. The only way to Heaven is through Jesus Christ.
1. Accept that Jesus Christ is your Savior. That He is Gods son. Accept that He died on the cross to save you from your sins.
2. Ask Him to come into your heart and make him your Lord and Savior.
3. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and repent.
It really is that simple!
God knows your heart. Call upon Him to help you have Faith.

To enter into heave a person has to be perfect.

If you aren't perect then the other way to enter into heaven is through the blood of Jesus.

Now, if a person is a professing Christian and also embrace the sin of homosexuality as okay...something is wrong.

The Bible is correct and there is no other intrepretation. Homosexuality is wrong and is a sin.

If a person believes fine to continue in sin and God will forgive them, they are wrong. We are to move and grow towards godliness. We are not to give in to sin. It isn't fine.

Romans 6:1-23
1 What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2 By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?

A true Christian will repent of their sin and know it is wrong to continue to sin.

The heart of your question is essentially this: can a person who has not repented (turned away from) sin go to Heaven? To put this into a different perspective, let's look at the sin of fornication, so we're not unfairly segregating gays, ok?

When a person repents from sin, they make a covenant with God that, as evidence of their faith and love for Him, they will cease engaging in repeated sin. If a person repents for a time, then turns back to a sinful life, such as repeated acts of extramarital sex, are they honoring their covenant? No. Does their lack of faithfulness show love for God? No. Jesus said, "If you love me, follow My commandments." He also said "No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God." And finally, He gave us the parable of the sower, which shows that some folks make a profession of faith, but at a later time fall away because of the temptations of the world. Jesus tells us these folks produce no "fruit," or true, enduring evidence of faith.

So can an unrepentent fornicator go to Heaven? Apparently not.

Honestly, I always thought that to get into Heaven, you had to be like a saint, one who lived solely for the Lord.

Purgatory, however, is where I believe most of the population is going. There we (and I include myself. I'm no saint) will get the chance to work for absolution to get to Heaven.

Only the very wicked go to Hell.

You have the right to believe what you like!

I know what my opinion is on the subject of God and heaven, but these things are best kept private!

In order to get to heaven you must accept the Lord Jesus as your personal saviour. You must beleive in your heart that He is the son of God, and He died so that your sins could be forgiven.

Quit worrying about it, You cannot fail!

It's all in the intent... if that is good, your all good.
Even if you do screw up this time around, you'll get millions of chances to play again. Life is eternal, what makes you think God would judge you on this tiny fraction of it? Besides... you ARE god, if he created you, you came from him.... give yourself a little more credit.
