From your lips to God's ear

That's a tough one. Corrupt politicians and greedy businessmen control the world. We as Americans need to examine every politician closely before voting for them, and not voting for the party. Voting for the party does not help anything because corruption is every where. A decent politician is all that can really be done to stop the whole thing. To make laws and to not allow their pockets to be padded by big business. You'd probably see the devil in a coat first.

Very simple. Don't vote for them. Organise your own political agenda and put forward your own candidates. It can be started on a local level and then expanded to a national level. The only big problem you will face is not to become corrupt yourself when you get elected. Tis the nature of man you know.

Being slightly more serious though, the fact is that we already have the power to ensure open, honest government. We all have the right to vote and if we all voted in respect of our social status then everybody would be appropriately represented. The problem is that people either refuse to vote or get fooled into voting for a party that simply will not represent them in government. For instance how can any person earning less than the average industrial wage justify voting for a right wing conservative government? Conservatives historically look after the middle classes and above, that is why they are called conservatives, because their function is to preserve the social order. In other words the rich keep getting rich and the poor stay poor.

You can't blame the rich people for voting conservative and protecting themselves, that is the common sense thing to do. They know that if a Left Wing or Liberal party gains power then policy will shift in favour of the less well off. Somehow the working classes haven't quite grasped the fact that Left Wing politics favour the working classes and Right Wing politics favour the established order. Maybe they are watching Right Wing financed news channels.

The other determining factor is that a huge percentage of working class people simply do not bother to vote at all while a vast majority of middle class and above never fail to vote because they appreciate the importance of political representation. If all the working classes voted for Left Wing political parties there is no way that the conservatives would ever get back into power because there are way more people living below the average national wage than above.

In short voter apathy and ignorance is the problem. The best way to cure this is to make it compulsory to vote in elections, but I think the political parties prefer to keep things the way they are. I wonder why?

Corruption in politics will never go away. It's been a fact of life since its inception because power corrupts. What we have to do is get involved in the process enough and vote out those we believe are corrupt and NEVER allow our sovereignty to go away - because absolute power does, indeed, corrupt absolutely.

AND, as far as the "greedy businessmen" part -- TRUE GREED is when people want a piece of the pie they haven't earned. Ask yourself about greedy welfare recipients (I'm talking about those who CAN work but DON'T). Anyone who believes in redistribution of wealth - WEALTH THAT OTHER PEOPLE EARNED - THERE is TRUE greed! Gimme gimme gimme. That's all people know these days. The truth is that successful businesses grow our economy, provide goods and services at a reasonable price (if it's not reasonable, people don't buy it - unless, of course, the government gets its meat hooks involved and messes with the free market), AND successful businesses provide jobs for jealous whiny babies like you. Waa waa waa businessmen are greedy. Waa waa waa they have more money than I do. I'm so sick of hearing this b.s. in this country I could scream. AAAAAHHHHHHH!!! There.

We have to consider where we came from and how we got here, else we will wind up someplace even worse.

The corruption is so difficult to manage simply because there is so much of it. The sheer magnitude of the federal government defies oversight by the people.

Where we came from is a small federal government, relatively weak in its power over the states. Now, of course, the states are mere political divisions of a federal government that allows no individual state a direct voice in what the federal government does.

We won't solve this with another agency, or another investigation by another special panel or prosecutor. All we could possibly do is dismantle the oversized federal government by making them stop doing things not found in the Constitution. Get them back to their proper role, and there would be less bureaucracy to become corrupt, and hide that corruption among the countless other corrupt bureaucracies.

...yes. corruption is a natural result of differing human perspectives and movements.

corruption is a not a dirty word. but it has been made very dirty by those which thought they/believe they are less dirty.

there is a very simple answer to this question.

easy.

do not elect lawyers unless they make public proclamation of their human values and practices with known human differences.

elect only those which are able to make similar proclamations regarding human rights and relations.

never elect or re-elect an official that betrays public confidences as proclaimed.

also....discover the personal interests of those stepping into public (civil) service and ask them how they would manage/balance each of them.

the idea here is to preserve natural and human rights and responsibilities.

so it will be necessary to find out what are the values of the big business people and stop purchasing their products and services should they determine that their own special interests are more valueable and practical than natural/human community/global interests.

but remember....

corruption is natural given the conditions which afford perceived corruptions to be realized.

be well

Do not vote for candidates that tend to be corrupt and supportive of greedy businessmen. They are the ones pulling down the economy.

Most corrupt elements are the businessmen. They entice bureaucracy to toe their line by greasing their palm. They appoint liaison officers to entertain them. Policemen are on their pay role so as to get details of their competitors. Criminal cases pending against them are diluted by these subservient police force.Bribing Custom officials they reclassify goods and pay the least rate of duty. They appoint their own men as Purchasing and selling agents inflating the price of a commodity. They get discounts on purchases that they pocket. If these enterprising entities stop illegal activities, corruption can be curtailed to certain extent.

I saw the enemy, and the enemy was me.

We as human beings need a complete overhaul of our human natures and skewed priorities. Unfortunately I don't see that happening any time soon.

I honestly believe that Satan is actually a manifestation of our own human natures. We can't accept that we are bad. No, the devil makes us do it, yeah that's the ticket. He makes us greedy, he makes us selfish, he makes us materialistic.

And to think that the elitist Democrats and Liberals or Left Wing Loons have a monopoly on integrity is sheer hogwash.

Develop un-hackable computer systems capable of replacing them. As long as people are involved, corruption will occur. In the alternative, develop an accurate lie detector and then do away with the right to silence.

Politicians & Bureaucrates both are corrupt . that is the chain of corruption . If Politicians are straightforward Why do they tolerate dishonest bureaucrates ? they have the capacity to get rid of them , they don't do it . If bureaucrates are straightforward how the ministers have such dissimilar scams ? they help each others & make the completed equipment a lot nasty . really you could blame extra to Politicians , maximum of them finished their operating existence & then connect politics & get intense pay until eventually eventually they die the position because the bureaucrates artwork upto retirement age . The Politicians don't have the reduce of greed of capacity & money.
