Why are you concerned? is it because you know your alcohol intake is too high?
Why not cut it down anyway, 14 units a week is maximum, for a female that is no more than one medium glass of wine a day!
Livers tend to give no symptoms until they crash and burn, by then it is far too late!

Many things can affect your liver, such as prescription or over the counter medications, herbal supplements, viral infections, alcohol and genetic conditions. Any clinic or physician can test your liver. You need to ask for a CMP(Complete Metabolic Panel) this will show your ALT and AST enzymes. These two enzymes are used to monitor liver function. Some people with mild liver problems don't have any symptoms, but the following are common symptoms of liver problems: fatigue, pain in the upper right part of your abdomen, dark colored urine, pale or light colored bowel movements, jaundice or yellowing of the white part of the eye and skin, red discoloration of the palms of the hands. Nausea, vomiting and weight loss can also occur.
I would encourage you to speak to your primary care physician if you have any of these symptoms. The blood test is simple, fast and not very costly.

Alcoholic liver ailment is often modern after long-time eating, not basically a drink the evening formerly. in spite of the undeniable fact that, if the eating replaced into very heavy, it would desire to reason some problems acutely. he's barely 27 years old, and if he's not an extremely heavy drinker, my wager is that the liver would in all possibility not be too strange at this ingredient. Later in life with prolonged exposure, in spite of the undeniable fact that, issues will at last worsen. Alcohol would reason liver problems, which might make you very ill. in case you notice any yellowing of the exterior (jaundice) it incredibly is extra probable that he's having liver problems. additionally, alcohol would reason gastritis, or inflammation of the tummy. stable luck with each and everything and that i'm hoping that there is a few thing strange on the attempt...on your sake.

Why are you worried about your liver? It's a pretty resilient organ and takes a lot to beat it up! The main culprits are alcohol, cancer and viruses (causing hepatitis).
Go to your doctor and you can get a basic LFT (liver function test) screening to see if certain enzymes etc are in the normal ranges.
Your liver has to be pretty bad before you see signs. First you will get hepatomegaly (enlarged liver) and it just means that your Dr will be able to palpate your liver by pushing your abdomen. (In cirrhosis it will eventually shrink). A lot of your venous blood goes through you liver so with liver disease this can get blocked up and all the blood vessels get congested. You get a big spleen, oesophageal varices (causing vomiting up blood). Also, your liver makes a lot of stuff, like clotting factors and albumin so you may find you bleed easier. And with decreased albumin you get fluid leaking out of vessels, so you get ascites (abdo swelling), and leg swelling. You might also get jaundice (yellow skin/eyes).
But you're pretty uncomfortable by this stage so lets hope you see a doctor before then!
