no. Acne is caused by bacteria and oil overproduction.

Right...the chocolate causing spots is a total myth...as is alcohol/smoking causing spots. Its not the chocolate/alcohol/smoking...its the unhealthy lifestyle. I eat chocolate on average a bar a day, i eat on average 2 bags of crisps a day, i go out drinking 1/2 times a week and i used to smoke. I HAVE never had bad spots. I have a few like everyone does. But even though i eat unhealthy things and do unhealthy things i make sure i eat my 5 portions of fruit and veg a day and that i eat a good range of food and exercise regularly. Chances are your outbreak of spots is due to stress or change of lifesyle...not the bar of chocolate you ate yesterday!

It can for many people! It was the reason for me!
Cut out all chocolate for a minimum of 3 weeks and see if it makes a difference.
If it makes no difference, then try cutting out something else for three weeks.
Major ones that cause acne are:
Greasy food.
Chocolate.
Cheese.
Other dairy products.
Acne comes out of our bodies and is caused by what we put into it! Acne is not contagious!
Just bloody annoying, Creams, lotions, washes etc only treat the problem, but do not deal with the cause!

Chocolate does not cause break outs. What does is clogged pores. So just keep your face clean, you may have to wash it several times a day, carry some of those wet wipes with you so if you tend to sweat you can wipe it off and also keep your hands clean and away from your face.

No. That is just an old wive's tale. It is rumored, or course, that chocolate and colas will break out your skin but it has never been proven. Besides, chocolate is now believed to prevent cancer.

The sugars and the oil in it can contribute to them. The cocoa itself doesn't.
One of the things about eating oily and sugary foods is that people will get this on their hands and fingers, then touch their faces, getting it on and into their skin. This more than the consumption of the product aids in causing breakouts.

That is a myth. Mulitple experiments and studies show that consumption of chocolate has absolutely no effect on acne.
People get acne b/c they are in their teens/20s. Period.

No. The only thing that causes that is hormonal changes in your body. But if you just put junk in you will get junk out. Its best to treat your body well and it will perform well.
