I would suggest first of all making sure you have a relationship with GOD and not just a knowledge about Him. There is a major difference between the two which the first link below can help you understand.

sansfear...God does not follow our demands. Many only want the thrill of the "feel" to be able to brag...GOD spoke directly to me. God seldom works in this way. Moses looked for God in the thunder, the wind and other signs that God was there but God came in the still small voice. To hear this voice WE have to be quite. Too many are demanding to have things "my way" but God for some reason does not feel obligated to do things our way....BUT HE does show us HIS love. Most of the time HE uses people to show His love when they feed the hungry or visit the sick.

One last thing, Jesus said HIS sheep know HIS voice. If you do not belong to HIM, you will not recognize it. Check the link below to be sure you are one of HIS sheep

Jared, it is not a bad thing to question and examine your faith. There are alot of answers from people here who clearly have no problem pushing their views on you rather than actually giving you any kind of honest answer.
I would like to go into further details with whatever you need help with if you would like to reply with more specifics.
For now, I would like to state that I do not place any faith in "Christianity", b/c I would only be setting myself up for failure. Most American "Christianity" has nothing to do with a relationship with Christ. That is the only thing I put my faith in is Jesus and my relationship with Him.
Anybody can say whatever they want about Christianity and all the things that "Christians" are doing wrong, but if they want to tell me that I'm wrong, it's okay. My faith does not depend on their opinion. I know what God has done in my life and nothing can ever change my mind.

don't worry about it, just because your not Christian that doesn't make you a bad person, maybe its not the religion for you, not everyone is Christian. Also even though Christians don't agree, I believe its OK to question your religion and that's what you are doing now, but I don't understand how one could not question their religion, you don't know anything for sure and the only way you will really be a Christian is if you believe everything your religion tells you and that is not thinking for yourself. Its ok to lose faith in Christianity, maybe you are just a Christian because that's what you were raised to be but nothing is certain and that includes Christianity so my advice is maybe research other religions see which one you feel the most comfortable with and if you aren't a very religious person ITS OK YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE just believe in what you feel is right for YOU.

Dear Jared,

This is my first time posting, but your question caught my eye. First, I am praying for you. My prayer is that you find Truth. That is Truth with a capital T. Jesus is the Truth. Follow what you know to be good and listen to your heart. That doesn't mean do whatever feels good. Follow the commandments and then pray for the gift of Faith. If asked for with a true heart, God will give it to you. He is gentle and compassionate and very patient. He will not force His love upon you, you have to ask and then be open to receive Him. Read the Bible and ask the Holy Spirit to open your eyes and heart while you read. You might be pleasantly surprised! Read the book of John. It is quite beautiful. If you would like to chat further via email about this, please get in touch with me. I'm unsure how this forum works. Prayerfully yours, Melanie

Please don't look to men for your answer. We all must look at God, for man will help turn your heart from God with all "mans" ways. What happend that your lossing your faith? Did someone say or do something that hurt you? Did you ask God for something and it did not happen yet? I have been hurt by people in the chuch, but I had to realize that it was the people that hurt me and not God. It was God that helped me through my hurt, and it is God that has kept me through all these years. There is a book call "Healed without Scares" by Bishop David G. Evans Check it out. I believe that this book can answer some of your questions, but only God will sustain you.
God's Blessings

Jared. It is quite normal for a person to question his/her faith in their particular beliefs. But the outcome depends on each individual. Yes, some friends can try to HELP you overcome your doubts, but in the end the choice is yours.

You need to search within yourself what is causing you that loss of faith. Take some time off from all religious beliefs, and seek deep inside your heart for the answer to your very own personal question.

Good luck.

do u need help to get back to being a christian or do u need help for u to pursue an atheistic lifestyle?the basic requirement for

christianity: faith-which,if u think about it,is hard to develop out of nothing..i mean if u don't already have faith,or have lost faith,to HAVE faith again u'll need some REASON to believe.only if u believe can u have faith.

atheism: logic-all u need is an analytical brain that believes what makes sense

isn't it a relief that YOU are in control of your life?

Why are you losing faith
are you willingly sinning?
Were you ever saved in the first place?
Do you seek God?
Do you pray to him?
read his word?
If you have had a personal relationship with God and are doing all those things , then you are experiencing trials.
keep the faith
even when you can feel, see, or here anything from God.
The bible says by faith are you saved
by doubt are you dammed.
The just shall live by faith.
Do all those things God requires of you and he cant deny you. His word is power-full.
the bible says
its easier for the heavens and earth to pass away then one word of God to fail.
God cant fail
his word cant fail,

Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God..., so if you really want help...? Read the Word of God, the Bible out loud so your ears can hear it... read the book of John out loud, the read Ephesians, Galatians and Colossians... all aloud to your self and 'faith comes'.
If you do this long enough, it's a free side reward of just "hearing the Word of God... FAITH COMES.., THEN JUST LIVE LIKE IT'S TRUE..., cause it is! This is easy!

Have you tried opeing your Bible...it usually helps. Romans 10:17 "Faith Comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God." To build the measure of faith God gave you, and feed the Spirit you need to read your Bible.
