Im in my first year at university and living at home. I really enjoy socialising so I go out with my friends quite a lot. 3 times a week or so usually. My dad gets really angry and doesn't realise that going out is a normal part of uni life. My mum is ok with me going out but sometimes I think my dad would prefer if I didn't go out at all and just stayed at home studying. I think its a cultural thing. In the country he was brought up it was something bad to go out, and in his home country people at uni don't see it as a social experience but a place to study full stop. How can I convince him? Are there any other people in my situation?

You should sit down with your father and discuss the matter (it shows that you're trying to behave like an adult). Let him know that you are taking you classes seriously (it helps if you have a report card showing some good grades to support this). Explain to him that school can be stressful, so you enjoy spending some time with friends outside of school to help relax and refocus on your school work. Also, make a deal with him that if your grades should start slipping, then you will cut back on your going out until you can get your grades back up. He should respect the fact that you are taking school seriously. It also reassures him that you will continue to do your very best (if you don't then you won't be able to go out anymore).

In New Orleans merely this previous Tuesday, we had a black district lawyer resign by way of fact he replaced into stumbled directly to be racist in his dismissal of all white criminal experts while he took workplace. Now granted this replaced into executed in a civil courtroom, yet this guy replaced into needless to say racist. virtually each and every black guy or woman that replaced into arrested below his term replaced into at last released. That lined a guy who murdered 5 youngsters. The feds at last arrested the guy and positioned him in penal complex for a very long term. This district lawyer replaced into needless to say racist and necessary to be bumped off. For absolutely everyone to assert that basically white persons could be racist is racist in foundation. It immediately assumes that basically whites have progressed that function and all different races of human have not progressed that distinctive function. that for the time of and of itself is a racist beginning ingredient and absolutely everyone who follows that attitude is racist to the very center. now is that liberal indoctrination. properly, is it not generally liberals who seek for political correctness which this definition looks to objective to fulfill? Is it not liberals who continually attempt to assuage others and to that end those of shade? are actually not maximum establishments of better getting to understand of a liberal slant by way of fact of people who coach? by way of fact the answer to all those questions is sure, then it maximum actually is liberal indoctrination. what would be somewhat exciting is to ascertain how many democrat presidential applicants persist with this definition of racist. and that they ask your self why they are loosing the black vote....
