It says in the bible that heaven exists but it doesn't say people are going there. It says after Armageddon that "the meek shall inherit the Earth" The Earth. It says Earth will be a paradise and people will not grow old and die etc. There is a section that says 144,000 humans will be taken to heaven to work with god so god has angels with a better understanding of human behaviour (bible says god is omnipotent, not omniciesnt). The major Christian religions read these parts out to people as if the bible says everyone is going to heaven. So, god doesn't promise it if you believe in him or the bible. Just preists etc.. and other than that no proof of course.

We don't.
However, for me, if heaven IS just an empty promise (& I often do think it may be or that I may not attain it) the reason I converted to my current belief system was to be a better person in my lifetime & it's worked, so to me heaven would just be a nice bonus, but it's not necessary. And it is in no way a certainty.

Because what would be the point in human suffering if there wasn't some higher purpose for it and therefore some higher reward. Some have suffering but have no fruits in this life sadly - how could that be all in vain - that wouldn't make any sense at all. But of course you have to believe. And if you don't believe then how are you going to get there (heaven). Beware If you believe in nothingness (after this) then you might just get nothingness - that would be hell wouldn't it, never mind any other impression or vision you might have of hell.

Do all good people go to heaven?
Acts 2:34: “David [whom the Bible refers to as being ‘a man agreeable to Jehovah’s heart’] did not ascend to the heavens.”
Matt. 11:11: “Truly I say to you people, Among those born of women there has not been raised up a greater than John the Baptist; but a person that is a lesser one in the kingdom of the heavens is greater than he is.” (So John did not go to heaven when he died.)
Ps. 37:9, 11, 29: “Evildoers themselves will be cut off, but those hoping in Jehovah are the ones that will possess the earth . . . The meek ones themselves will possess the earth, and they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace. The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it.”
Must a person go to heaven to have a truly happy future?
Ps. 37:11: “The meek ones themselves will possess the earth, and they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.”
Rev. 21:1-4: “I saw a new heaven and a new earth . . . I heard a loud voice from the throne say: ‘Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.’”
Mic. 4:3, 4: “They will not lift up sword, nation against nation, neither will they learn war anymore. And they will actually sit, each one under his vine and under his fig tree, and there will be no one making them tremble; for the very mouth of Jehovah of armies has spoken it.”

How do you know that you will wake up in the morning? How do you know you can walk? How do you that there is air to breathe?
We know that heaven is not an empty promise because God says so. It is in His word and His word is truth!!!

Our faiths aren't based on a few books. But on 1000s
of years of human experience. Have you not had personal experiences? Then why deny them over mans self-righteous condemning everyone to hell if we don't agree with everything they say?

It is an empty promise. The reason that "faith" is pushed so heavily in religion is because they have no real evidence.
The idea that "just believing" is a valid form of knowing something is really silly. But that's all they have.

Well, we have the Bible. It's been proven to be true so far, historically, and geogrphically. But really, you don't know for sure without faith. After all, if you could scientifically test for God's presence, you would worship God out of fear of Hell, instead of worshiping him out of love and desire to serve in Heaven.
