Jesus (pbuh) as you already know is one of the most respected Prophets of God in Islam and his mother Mary (Maryam) has a very high position in Islam as a role model for all women. Jesus (pbuh) is fatherless. His birth is regarded as a miracle and is compared to the creation of Adam (pbuh). God said 'Be' - as simple as that.

YUSUFALI: Behold! the angels said: "O Mary! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honour in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah;

And the similtude of Jesus before Allah is as that of Adam. He created him from dust and said to him 'Be', and he came to be."
[al-Qur'aan,. Aal-`Imran, 3:59]

The Christians of the 7th century claimed that since Jesus had no father, God must have been his father. Thus, to this claim the Qur'an presents the powerful argument that Adam had no father or mother, thus Jesus having no father is no claim to divinity. Had this been the case Adam would have been a greater god

Question:
In the Quran it mentions the virgin conception of Jesus, why would God go to such extremes to produce a prophet when all other prophets came about the usual way - through intercourse and birth? If Jesus is not divine then what purpose did the virginal conception serve?

Answer:
People back then were good in medicine and doing medical work among the people of Israel and the Romans. Jesus' miraculous birth looked unusual because no doctor back then could produce such a miracle. Similar to when Moses performed magic to Pharaoh. GOD Almighty chose this miracle for Moses because during that time, magicians were big, and Moses' miraculous creation of a snake from a stick defeated all fake tricks. Similar to Muhammad with poetry in the Noble Quran. Arabs were known for high literature and poetry. The Noble Quran's literature and poetry came and surpassed all poetry at that time. That's why when Allah Almighty in the Arabic Quran challenged the Arabs to produce a chapter like anyone in the Noble Quran (see Noble Verses 2:23, 10:38, 11:13

Jesus was the last prophet from the children of Israel to them and was sent in a miraculous way to prove to a people who expected miracles to believe that a person was a prophet from God. Previous miracles did not convince all the Israelites, therefore God sent Jesus [peace be upon him] in the virgin birth manner and bestowed upon him more convincing miracles that he performed by the will of God to convince the Israelites.

Your question is thoroughly beside the point to the message and teachings of the Bible. The Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are named after their respective human writers. The Apostle Paul wrote the Lion's percentage (sure, undesirable pun meant) of the hot testomony, and under no circumstances one in each of them is termed after him. this does not make their contents any a lot less or extra significant. The Gospels element out Mary because she develop into the vessel that God chosen to provide beginning to Jesus. not something extra. not even a e book author. even as Jesus develop into conceived, Mary develop right into a virgin. later on, it really is amazingly sparkling from Biblical charges that Mary and Joseph had different human toddlers. (Jude is Jesus' organic and organic 0.5 brother.) She did not die a virgin. She isn't and could not be deified. the only human that advantages deification is Jesus Christ, because he's totally God, totally human and fully infallible all mutually. Jesus does not desire a particular e book of the Bible named after Him because the completed be conscious is about Him. each e book of the former testomony both prophesies His coming, has a protagonist that symbolizes some function of Him as a Kinsman Redeemer, or analyzes the outcome of His coming. Shalom.

We should first answer this question What is the true word of God about Jesus ? u can find that only in Qur'an the final revelation the only authentic revealed book in the world that has been kept without change

Muslims believe that Jesus was born immaculately, and through the same power which had brought Eve to life and Adam into being without a father or a mother

Truly the likeness of Jesus, in God's sight, is as Adam's likeness; He created him of dust, then said He unto him, "Be", and he was. (Qur'an 3:59).

Jesus has No father, it's not impossible for Allah to create Jesus without a father since he'd done the same before, Adam for example.

The Quran says that Jesus was like Adam.

Lo! the likeness of Jesus with Allah is as the likeness of Adam. He created him of dust, then He said unto him: Be! and he is. (Qur'an 3:59)

To me your question is irrelevant.

I think Jesus (Al Masih) in the Quran is not Jesus as explained in the Bible. They are to me, definitely two different persons. Bible teach Jesus is God, Son of God etc..etc. Quran teach Al-Masih (Jesus) is a respected prophet.

They can't be the same person unless somebody has twisted the facts.

How would the Qu'ran know who Christ is? Or how would it know who is the father of Jesus?

The only source of information on that, is the Bible itself. Jesus is the Son of God. Plain and simple. His "foster father" on Earth was Joseph. Jesus came from the lineage of King David.

There is no other explaination, because Jesus existed before the Qu'ran was ever thought of. If you seek the correct source of information, then go to the REAL source of information, the Bible.

The Islamic view of Jesus lies between two extremes. The Jews , who
rejected Jesus as a Prophet of God, called him an impostor. The
Christians, on the other hand, considered him to be the son of God
and worship him as such. Islam considers Jesus to be one of the
great prophets of God and respects him as much as Ibrahim (Abraham),
Moses, and Mohammed. (Peace Be Upon Them) This is conformity with
the Islamic view of the oneness of God, the oneness of Divine
guidance, and the complementary role of the subsequent mission of
God's messengers.

The Quranic account of Jesus starts with the
conception of his mother, Mary, whose mother, the wife of Imran,
vowed to dedicate her child to the service of God in the temple.
When Mary became a woman, the Holy Spirit (the Archangel Gabriel)
appeared to her as a man bringing her news of a son. We read the
following dialogue in the Quran between Mary and the Angel:

"When the angel said, "Mary, god gives you a good tidings of a Word
from Him whose name is messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, -high honoured
shall he be in this world and the next, near stationed to God. He
shall speak to men in the cradle, and of age, and righteous he shall
be, "lord" said Mary "How shall I have a son, seeing no mortal has
touched me? "Even so, he said "God creates what He will".

When he decrees a thing He but say to it, "Be", and it is. (Al-Imran
3:45-47)

In a chapter (Surah) entitled "Maryam" (Mary), the Quran tells us
how Mary gave birth to her son, and how the Jesus accused her when
she brought the child home:

"Then she brought the child to her folk, carrying him, and they
said, "Mary, you have surely committed a monstrous thing. Sister of
Aaron, your father was not a wicked man, nor your mother a woman
unchaste. Mary pointed to the child; but they said, 'Hoe shall we
speak to one who still in the cradle, a little child. And he
said, 'Lo, I am God's servant, God has given me the Book and made me
a Prophet Blessed He has made me ,wherever/may be; and hi has
enjoined me to prayer, and to give the alms so long as I live, and
likewise to cherish my mother; He has not made me arrogant and
wicked. Peace be upon me, the day I was born, and the day I die, and
the day I am raised up a live. "Maryam 19:29-33)

in the same chapter, following the above quotation, God assures
Mohammed (PBUH) and through him the whole world, that what is told
above is the TRUTH about Jesus (PBUH), although Christians might not
accept it. Jesus is NOT the son of God: He was obviously enough, the
son of Mary. The verses continue: "That is Jesus, son of Mary, in
word of truth, concerning which they are doubting. It is not for God
to take a son unto Him. Glory be to Him, He nut says to it, 'Be, and
it is. (Maryam 19:34-35)

After this strong statement about the nature of Jesus, God directed
Mohammed (PBUH) to call the Christians to worship the one
God: "Surely God is my God, and your God, so surely serve him. This
is the straight path". (Maryam 19:36)
