Does it make you nicer to others?

yes it does ,
islam isn't just about faith but also about morals and ethics.
At the moral level, Islam teaches us to be truthful, honest, just, compassionate, virtuous; to shun all evils; to be ever bent on doing good deeds while sparing others of any harm or injury. Stated differently, it teaches us to think right, speak right, and act righteously.

At the spiritual level, Islam teaches cultivation of mindfulness of God—being grateful to Him, patient in adversity, and content with His decree and ever willing to make our will conform to His will.

Yes!! Well, at least the value part. I value all life but as for being nicer to others....I wait and see what they are like first. I give a smile or a hi and go from there. If they are rude or whatever back, that's it for me. Good question!!!

I am a Bible-centered Christian but not religious because Christianity is not a religion but a life. The more you understand the God of the Bible, the more you will value people as we can experiencially see in all History up to the present.

I've always valued people, but Islam just made it like, more personal. I'm more tolerant, patient and approachable. Islam also helped me check my temper. I really love my religion and the Muslims I meet (especially those visiting the US during Ramadhan).

Have a good one.

Yes.... I see God/ess in all people, and it definitely makes you more considerate! If you see God/ess as being in everyone, then all humans are connected, so hurting others is like hurting yourself, if that made any sense.
Also the Rede tells us to "Harm none", and the law of threefold means that if you harm anyone, it will rebound on you.

My religion teaches that all people are equal and are deserving of respect (common courtesy). Unless they do something that shows no respect for others... then they're free game to be picked on. *wink*

Of course! Wicca has taught me to see differently, to see things with blessing and see everyone as blessed people. Wicca has been a real blessing to me and i thank the Lady for giving me that blessing.
Merry meet! )o(

not really my religion but my beliefs. my beliefs are to give respect to those deserving and to those not deserving then at least give them the respect that you should have for any human being and i believe in love. and the golden rule. i believe in God but if you can find God in a different way, then more power to you.

Yes it does. Not because of any rigid rules, but because it changes my heart. I pray for others routinely and it helps change me.

I thank God every day for this great gift. I am a Christian.
