Go to a puppy mill or petshop and tell them you have £500 to spend on a teacup. That will get you a runt immediately.

This runt thing really bothers you hugh? Not every litter HAS a runt (by definition there has to be a smallest but if the smallest is within an ounce or two of the rest he isnt a runt).
Seriously since a new puppy exam is always a good thing and he probably will need shots anyway get a physical at the vet and that will set your mind at ease.
Top field trial male whippet in all history was a leftover (last pick) that took a while to find a home. Sickly he was not -since that involved hard running for over a mile a weekend - every weekend....

The runt is the last puppy that comes out of the mommy dog..

I dont see why having the runt is a problem.. He is your dog.. Im sure you love him.. Most runts are NOT mishapen in any way.. Some are just the smallest and weakest at first.. If he is already 3 months then hes fine.. You only have to worry right after hes born because he might starve to death....You have nothing to worry about... Just love him.. Thats all you can do..

Runt is the one that is least healthy and most likely to be rejected by its mother and siblings, most likely to starve to death because the mother won't nurse it or the pup is too weak to fight for a teat. A runt that survives is probably healthy enough, just a little smaller than his siblings, and the only way you would know is to compare him to his brothers and/or sisters (most breeds males are larger than females, so comparing your female with her brother won't be a good indicator). Other than that, there really is no way of knowing if your baby is the runt or not, if its healthy. What does it matter? Runt or not, you love it, right? Good luck.

You can call the person who you got it from and ask them if it was the runt. Most of the time though alot of people go for the runts they always seem to be the best of the bunch.

My dog was the runt, she is very pushy when it comes to food, she'll knock you out of the way, her head is wedge shaped (because, of the breed, not cause she was the runt), so she uses it like wedge to open doors, and push her way in (Kennel Mentality), otherwise she is sweet & Friendly !

It will be the smallest one and the slowest at growing.
