Sounds like the flu or bronchitis. Your back probably hurts from coughing; you use a lot of muscles doing that. Drink plenty of fluids, take Robitussin for the cough, Advil, Motrin, or Aleve for the aches (you can also try an OTC pill called Percogesic if you're having a hard time sleeping. It contains Tylenol and a non habit-forming sleep aid; kinda hard to locate and sometimes you can only find the name-brand, but Eckerd has it and also has a store brand), and rest, rest, rest. If you aren't feeling better in a day or two, go see your doc for a full work-up.

You should really see a doctor if the symptoms persist. If you experience severe vomiting or notice blood in your urine or vomit, go to a hospital immediately.

Otherwise, it is really unwise to take on any kind of prognosis over the Internet. Without a doctor physically examining you and your symptoms, you cannot accurately get a diagnosis.

Also, it is typical to be tired during an illness. You should rest, as that is necessary for your body to fight an illness. Some doctors also suggest mild forms of exercise to increase blood flow. Drink plenty of fluids and try to eat a reasonable amount of food.

It sounds a lot like the flu but to be on the safe side I would definitely recommend following up with your dr to have this situation evaluated to see what they think.

You probably just caught a bug. Rest up and if you're not better in 2 days call your doc or if you get worse go to Urgent care....But as I said, you probably just have a bug.

Hang in there!
