If God showed himself and gave proof of his existence, would the nonbelievers be able to handle the fact they would go to hell for not having faith in the first place? God doesn't want to show his existence because it would then prove Him. Then there would longer be a faith in Him. He gave us life, don't you think that is enough? You tell me, answer this PLEASE... if it wasn't God who put us here, then HOW did we get here. If you say evolution, fine, but what was before that, or even before that? How did the world become?

there's no need for God to prove His exisctence. our existence and everything around us are more than enough. sometimes you really dont have to see things just for you to believe...cause by FAITH you will believe.

You idiot why would God need faith in those he created? This will not make sense from now until eternity.

You religious infants only know what is in your bible. Only the mind of a child would hold on to this belief system. The imprint of primitive minds are all over the bible and yet modern man clings to such ideology. I guess the full gene pool has not totally caught up to the 21th century.

How we got here is plain and simple if you would just take the time and do the research and yes there was evolution and other miraculous events but not the work of an all powerful being we call God.

I am done tired of trying educate those that only want simple answers that take no work on their part to discover. You only need look else where with an open mind and you will find truth, wisdom, and knowledge. A mind takes time and effort to educate. If your want to stay ignorant then just keep reading your bible and stay in that closed world of fantasies.

There is must more to ponder and discover but it will take weeding through many ideologies until truth reveals itself. Only a few on this planet can accept total truth in its raw form. Fear is the mind killer that stops full cognitive functions of your creative, intellectual and mental processes.

Truth is avialible for those that are truely interested. Truth is in plain view at all times to those that are willing to open their minds and eyes to see. The world is not what your think it is and you are not what you think you are.

That which is God does show himself to you but you are not able too see because of limiting belief systems.

You believe a book written by men to be the direct word of God and therefore you believe simply by not being "saved" would cause me to go to a place called hell.

I have never committed a crime, I take care of my elderly parents, I have worked every day of my life since I was 16, I got above average grades, never got a DUI or was ever arrested. But yet you think that "God" has human qualities like hubris and vanity - and that simply because I didn't believe in him - he would be sore at me and act like a little spolied brat and send me to Hell. I think that belief above all others is just plain silly.

Prophets came and went thousands of years ago because back then people believed things like severe weather was coming from an angry God, and the earth was the center of the universe, etc .. all of which science proved false. Prophets don't come anymore and not because you have this perfect excuse (written by men) but because no one would believe them now, there would be too many ways to prove that they were fake.

So Jesus was a great man, he had a lot of good things to say, but they had been said before by buddists and hindus long before that, you chose to believe it was original.

There's absolutely no proof of any divinity there. You chose to believe that, however, just because you believe that doesn't make it fact.

You take books written by men and give them magical powers but they were just men who lived in their time and weren't forward thinking- they missed so much. They never talked about how wrong slavery was, they didn't talk about the rape and the then rampant pedophilia at all... because back then those things weren't wrong, but any forward thinking all knowing God would have known and therefore would have spoken out about it.

"If you say evolution, fine, but what was before that, or even before that?"

No one knows. Just because we don't know doesn't mean we should invent a fairytale character called god and give it credit.

If god put us here, as you believe, where did god come from? If you say god was created, where did it's creator come from? And what about the creator that created the creator? You get into an infinite regress and your argument falls apart.

If you say god has always existed then I assume less by believing that the universe has always existed and your argument once again falls apart.

No matter how you look at it, your argument doesn't work.

The difference between you and I is that I am fine with saying "I don't know". You're not, you say the same thing but with three different words - "God did it".

We were once living with God in the spiritual world, and one day,we decided to say "goodbye,I'm independent now!I also want to create, love, produce just like you!"
So, He created the material world for us just ot play the role of God,but everthing we do is temporary and we have to struggle to get it.
Butin the spiritual world, just by desiring one thing ,we get it!...

So,we have to reject this material ,temporary world,or use it just to survive, for glorifying God,but not accumulating riches which will be taken away from us at death.

As any other lilving being has a right for life, we shoouln't take the lives of others for food, except veg, fruits are allowed, when theyare offered as sacrifice to God.

In order to see God again,we have to retrain ourselves,be compassionate to others and we'll see Him again.

By the way,He did come as Krishna or Gauranga[year 500]
in India..

Because we are incapable of fully knowing fellow humans, to some degree faith (trust) is an integral ingredient in all relationships.

Events in Exodus and Numbers, show that God's further revealing himself to us would have no greater effect on our ability to trust him. For were God to interact in a similar fashion with all of the people living today, we would respond no differently than did those Israelites...our sinful hearts are the same as theirs. But even as a few of the Israelites chose to trust God based on what He had revealed of Himself in the past and were willing to trust Him for the future, (going into the Promised Land), so we can choose to trust Him for our future based upon what He has already revealed about Himself and His character.

I don't think non-believers are the problem, but believers.

Let me explain. On this forum there are many dozens of people who claim to be good christians, who love God and the word of Jesus.

Yet they refuse to listen to the wisdom of God, the greater history of the world outside of what they have been taught by their preachers and church to believe.

When such good people are unwilling to see with their own eyes and hear with their own ears, how could they possibly see any revelation from God?

In fact, it is the most ardent believers who talk of the End Times and constantly about God- who mark down many answers that clearly have divine content!

See: The Supreme Bible of God
http://one-faith-of-god.org/new_testament/apocrypha/jesus_bloodline/jesus_bloodline_0010.htm

So what chance does God have in making his/her presence felt? The only chance is with the non-believers, the ones still willing to read, to listen- the ones who are not slaves to religions that have absolutely nothing to do with Jesus, God or anything positive for humanity.

Well you must think.Remember when Jesus was on the cross.they were screaming Him that if He is a God to free Himself from His bounds. It would be very easy to believe in God if a miracle was occured. The think is to try Harder
As I said to another man, God is not a master, He appeared to us by sending His Son.He preached ,He is still trying to tell us to love it s other etc and because He gave us a free will He wants just to make us believe in Him and not to force us.

Even if God showed Himself, the non-believers wouldn't believe Him that he is God, they would make fun of Him and blaspheme Him. You actually have to have some faith to be able to understand His real identity.

agree with the Architect...
the problem is the believer.. not the non-believer...

"Will the believer recognise HIM?"

or

will they blindly believe in their own beliefs (as it is now, with the extremist of several religions) and not recognise HIM walking among us?

want example?
if chirstians were right, then Jews were the blind believers who didn't recognise god (aka. jesus)...
if muslims were right, then Christians were the blind believers who didn't recognise god's words (jesus's teaching)...
what if all these newage religion were right, then the muslims would be the blind believers who didn't recognise god' words (new preacher's teaching)...

so who is right? who is wrong?

for non-believers.. they were non-believers, they were already lost, so they have nothing to lose anyway....
