i recently lost all of my insurance well i was suppost to get braces this summer (my dentist wanted me to wait because i WAS pregnant) well i was suppost to have them because my teeth were pushing into each other and hurting really bad... it has been 3 months and my teeth are hurting even worse, i have never had a cavity or anything, they just are moveing, my dentist told me that the pain will go away as my teeth start to get straighter, i was wondering if i were to just go to the denstist without insurance will they make me pay for the braces all up front or do they allow you to pay monthly or how does that work? please just serious answers only... thank you.

They will most likely charge an up-front down payment and a monthly payment, but it depends on the orthodontist you see. Also, they may work with a credit company that will allow you to have lower monthly payments (but you'll have to pay interest.) They should tell you at your consultation appointment, or you can call and ask over the phone and ask...

They will probably have you pay a 10-20% down payment and then they'll give you the option to pay monthly.

No worries...they will set up a monthly payment plan with you. Call and sit down with them and make a payment arrangement that you are comfortable with.
