He let a reporter know they where #1 with his middle finger.
One of the answers mentioned his F1 days; and in F1, Drivers are not required to interact with the press unless they are on the podium.
Mr. Montoya needs to learn that this is not F1; this is NASCAR and in NASCAR Drivers speak with the press. NASCAR has become popular because the Fans get to take a look at their personalities through the interviews.
If Mr. Montoya is to have any degree of success in NASCAR; and gain Fans; he needs to embrace the Media, not snub it, or let them know they are #1 with the middle finger.

He flipped the" bird" to a camera and interviewer after the interview but before the camera was turned off.
Others have done the same thing and have gotten fined also and the next one that does it will get the same thing.

The reason for the fine was that he flipped the middle finger at the in car camera, the reason why he did it was cause he thought they were filming a documentary, the reason he gave the finger is because he thought he was flippin a friend of his off, when it was anything but. OOPS

He flipped off who he thought was part of a crew doing a documentary on him (they had been following him around for the week). He didn't realize that the cameraman was from a TV station. He did NOT do it with any malice, he was just joking around, but it got caught on tape and he got fined.
