1) The Bible is not 100% accurate, and it is not the Word of God. Those are recent beliefs that are out of step with the traditional Christian view of the Bible as a work of man.
2) While there are problems in the Biblical text, your examples certainly don't fall into that category. "Tempt" has two meanings, even in English. Genesis actually says that "dying, you will die..." an idiom for mortality. It does not say that Adam would die on the day he ate the fruit (as English translations mistakenly render the text). God is transcendent - no man has seen his essence. The same could be said of the sun (you have only seen its light). Saul died in battle against the Philistines in Gilboa - the Philistines are identified as the indirect agent of Saul's death (a true statement).

Jas 1:13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
Gen 22:1 And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.
In James it means to say that when a man is being tempted by somebody, he should not reason out that it was God who tempted him because God can not be tempted with evil and could not be tempted by any man.
In Geneses, God was testing Abraham of his faith to God by offering as a sacrifice of Abrahams only son Isaac to be burn in the land of MoriaAbraham was then very willing to sacrifice his only son and brought his son to the said place and when he was about to kill his son,Isaac, an angel appeared to abraham and said do not injure your child because I came to know that you fear your God. God has tested Abraham that his faith was not lost to God. (you did not continue to read on the succeeding verses, continue reading so you could understand)
Gen 32:30 And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.
Joh 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
In Genesis 32:20 it was stated that the meaning of the word "peniel" is I have seen God face to face. but Jacob did not actually have seen God but was suspicious that it was God who talk to him when he won the fight with a man. He was then asking who was that man but God told him"Why are you asking my name".
Gen 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
Gen 5:5 And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.
In Genesis 5:5 before the death of Adam he lived for 930 years.Adam died because that was the puniishment given to him by God in eating the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.Adam have already committed the sin against God. It does not mean that he will instantly die at the moment of eating that fruit.
1Sa 31:5 And when his armourbearer saw that Saul was dead, he fell likewise upon his sword, and died with him.
1Sa 31:6 So Saul died, and his three sons, and his armourbearer, and all his men, that same day together.
2Sa 21:12 And David went and took the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son from the men of Jabeshgilead, which had stolen them from the street of Bethshan, where the Philistines had hanged them, when the Philistines had slain Saul in Gilboa:
What is the problem in these verses? In 1 Samuel 3l:5,6 it is about the death of Saul and his three sons and his armourbearer. and in Samuel 21:12, it is about the bones of Saul and his sons who were hanged from the street of Bethshan when slain in Gilboa.. It shows where they were slain and hanged .
What is the mistake there? But it is a mistake in your understanding the words in the bible. You understand it before talking OK? Clear now.?

The things of God are spiritually discerned. You are out of your league and it would take all night to explain these passages, which you have taken out of context, to you. If you would but receive Christ as your Savior, you would receive the Holy Spirit within and He would open up the Bible to you with all the wonderful messages God has to give you. Understanding the Bible also takes a little common sense.....you have to become familiar with the history, the original language, the surrounding circumstances, and the cultures concerned. That's why we "study" the Bible. But the main thing is the Holy Spirit, Who teaches you in all things and will open the understanding of the serious student.

Because the Bible has been subject to the writings of man. I don't know why people get so surprised or don't want to own that the bible has been changed. King James made some blatent changes in his. He was terrified of witches, and changed a few lines to reflect his fear. One of the notable ones off the top of my head is "Thou shall not suffer a poisoner," he had it changed to "Thou shall not suffer a witch." That has two completely different meanings, a poisoner is completely different from a witch.
This change led to the Salem Witch Trials in Massachusetts where 20 people were executed and 200 imprisoned.
The Bible is a document under the dominion of man, people just don't want to admit to it. They even held several councils in the early centuries to decide what should go in it or stay in it, such as the Council of Nicea.
Not to mention, the Bible went through so many translations before it came to English, how can anyone be sure they are correct? Some languages have meanings that absolutely do not exist in others.
I believe within it, God's word is there, but I also think that man has made changes subject to its wills and thoughts at the time. It covers 1000 years of history, with different codes and morals.

You seem to have the common problem of many who take the figurative context verses and think that they are literal, and the literal context verses and figure that they are figurative.
The REAL question is: Do you want to know God or not?!
Answer yourself that question and you will have an answer as to whether or not you will ever understand what you read in the Bible. If the answer is no, then get on with your life, you are clearly wasting it. If the answer is yes, then why wouldn't you have a set of commentaries that explain these verses by experts rather than Joe Schmoe on Y!A?
Seriously!

Because religion hides the fact that Biblical people along with the Holy Spirit were very ignorant and didn't know any better. They believed that the earth was flat. If mankind with today's knowledge could witness what biblical people witnessed, the Bible would be a completely different book. Biblical people didn't know that 2 of every species of living things on this planet weighs about 100 million tons. The story of Noah and the Arc, I don't think so.

"Do not question a contradiction because there is none."
"All is true because God is true"
"There is no contradiction. You just don't understand the meanings."
These are the typical answers from people who know you are right about contradictions that do appear in the Bible. They either ignore them or deny they exist. But when a book is written by many authors you are bound to have a few stories that don't match up with other stories.Even if they are about the same event.

God cannot be tempted is different from God tempting somebody, it means satan is not going to trick God by tempting him.
And he seen him in the spirit and yes they are all talking about his spirit, you need his Holy spirit to see the invisible kingdom they are talking about, that's why the Bible makes no sense to you you need his spirit to discern it, he made it that way , here is how to get it and then suddenly you will see the difference between the spiritual world and the physical world.

Because The Bible was never written by God nor Spoken by God, It was written by men who claims to be inspired by God, It's like when you wrote a song when you're inspired by someone else. So it's not really the word of God.

The Bible is the word of God as far as it is translated correctly, unfortunately it or more precisely its books both before and after compilation have been corrupted many times over the centuries by evil men.
