you can't...HE has to apply to the U.S. Embassy in his country for a visa to the U.S....naming you as a sponsor and you must provide him a place to live and a help him get a job.
Then after he gets here, he can apply for a greencard.

I am not going to say your friend is insincere but you need to be aware that many people who have no hope or options to progress in their own countries are looking for any possible way to emigrate to the US, and the US government is aware of this and makes it very difficult to do. The only thing he can legitimately do on his end is apply for a tourist visa at the US consulate in his country. As a young male without a job, it's extremely unlikely he would be accepted for a visitor visa, because it would be presumed that he would attempt to emigrate illegally when he enters the US. Even if you were willing to take on the commitment to sponsor him as an immigrant, the requirements for doing so are very strict and only allow it if you are offering him employment or are a relative. You can go to the US immigration website http://www.uscis.gov to research the options.

I would listen to Doc. Nigeria set off my red flag. I think it would be difficult even if he's not from Nigeria, but the US government knows about Nigeria being a problem and would be even more critical. I;m not saying he isn't a nice kid, but I would be extremely careful if you want to procede. I had a friend who married a Nigerian. (divorced him though). She said her husband was honest, but all his friends had a scam going on. There is a culture of stealing in Nigeria, because the people are so poor. I also had some friends with business dealings there. THey regret it. I know that they are not all bad, but meeting people on the internet is bad enough, but from a foreign country, and from a country with severe economic problems. Use your judgement, but keep our warnings in the back of your mind, and never send money and never give any personal information. Its so easy to let the wrong things slip out.

Yeah, I fell for that scam too, I think you will be very sorry in the end. Are you sending him any money yet? They get to know you first, and then say they love you and so on and so on, I don't trust anyone or anything that has to do with Nigeria. Just ask any banker or policeman. Nigeria is the biggest scamming country, they are very good at being very convincing, don't fall into a regretful situation. I thougth I would be the last person to get scammed, but sure enough, they pulled it off, the next step for me was bankruptcy.

Why can't he make it in his own country? Is it lack of opportunity or because he has limited skills? I hope you don't see yourself as a "patron of the arts" which could blind you to what is really going through his head. Six months of chat rooms and eMails is not much of a rercommendation for bringing in an absolute stranger into your home and he may not be as young as he says he is or he could be a she as people tell more lies on the internet than they do in both houses of Congress. If he asks for money or other gifts dump him like you would a grenade suddenly tossed in your lap.

What do you're able to desire to lose? your total lifes low fee rates for one. in case you petition to convey her right here and marry her, you're responsible for her help for no less than the subsequent 10 years. you are able to not basically deliver her back if it would not paintings out. maximum probable the guy you think of you're speaking to would not even exist. If this "female" applies for a vacationer visa, she would be able to digital mail you that she desires x volume of greenbacks to have the skill to go away her u . s . a .. when you deliver the money, "she" will then say she desires extra for another reason. After "she" has bilked you out of thousands of greenbacks, you will in no way her from "her" back. whether she is for genuine, she would be able to in no way get a vacationer visa. Coming right here as a vacationer with the objective of marrying is fraud. formerly you will get a fiance visa, you will would desire to bypass to her head to head in her u . s . a .. you will would desire to tutor your relationship is genuine to establish that her to get a visa. sure, i'd call you loopy, sorry.

Nothing. Unless you want to marry him there is nothing you can do.
From what you said about the age difference my guess is that even if you did marry him the embassy would be highly unlikely to give him a visa.

There is a quota for Artists for getting a VISA into the US.
Tell him to apply for that. Once he gets a VISA he can travel to US and later become a citizen of the US.
