Only four femurs; none were Jesus'.

This fulfilled Psalms 34:20 "He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken."

That prophecy was written about 1,000 years before Jesus was crucified. You see, the plan of redemption was drawn up in heaven before Earth was created.

God knew there was a chance we would fall, so made provisions for our salvation. You can see this in the creation narrative in Genesis. You see, after God made man of the dust (as well as the critters), he made Adam sleep--cut a wound in His side, and fashioned Adam's bride from his rib.

That wound in Adam's side typified Christ's wound, where He would receive His bride, His church.

There is a prophecy in the Bible that was sealed until "the end of the days." It proves that Jesus was the Great Sacrifice for humanity. Break the Bible code at www.revelado.org/revealed.htm

Additional data: In 1968 archaeologists dug up an ossuary with the bones of an Israelite captured and crucified in the rebellion. There were nail marks in his mid-forearm between the radil and the ulna. One spike was still driven through the side of his heal--the wood was initially ex-rayed and the nail tip bent where it hit a knot, making removal impossible (the wood has been removed now). That means Jesus' heels could have been nailed laterally on each side of the cross. The article I read was in Biblical Archaeology Review, and a photo is published online at www.apologeticspress. org/articles/2591 (take the space out before org to get it to load).

None.

That was part of the prophecy that no bones would be broken. The two that were crucified with him had their legs broken to quicken death. Jesus was stabbed with a spear.

i think there is still a controvesy as to HOW he is crucified...
did the nail pierce the palm? or in between the 2 bones at the wrist? if the plams, then the fragile tiny bones would have been crushed by the blow of the blunt nails... and the weight of the body would hv torn the flesh of the palms through...
if the wrist... there would be profuse bleeding from the veins/arteries...
just too gory to imagine, in either scenario...

i thought his leg need to be broken to fit in the tomb which was one size smaller?
or is that a different story about some other great historic figure?

Another trick question. None of Jesus' bones were broken. The other two that hung with him had theirs broken.

None. The way they hammered the nails in, they needed the bones for support.

If the person was hanging on too long, they would eventually break the legs, but jesus died well before that time
