This has been asked several times! No one knows because the Bible doesn't talk about belly buttons.

Good question to ponder. I think he did, even though he didnt need an umbilical cord Adam was the first man, he had to be the prototype. I can't imagine Cain or able asking their father why he didn't have a belly button.

I think he did.. but it kept falling off and Eve refused to sew it back on after about 1000 times...
Edit: hmmm.. do you think that's where belly button piercings come from?

Theres an extremely hard riddle about that
"an arcahelogist finds two perfectly preserved mummies and instantly knows they're Adam and Eve, how did he know this?"

Humans evolved.
But in the spirit of the question, I ask you this. If God is a devine, being, is he really a "he"?
I'd think God doesn't have need for he or she bits.

That's medieval!
Not born of woman, so needing no umbilical...
But perfect, therefore should be complete, *with* navel.
But that would be a form of lie, so not something a perfect God would do...

No, just a scar where the rib was removed. Eve didn't have one either. When God made man, she was only joking. ;-D
