I'm a person that has problems...But my question is why does God allow the evil demons to take control of me and cause me to do awful things..like attempt suicide, pyshically abuse my family members and have thoughts of hurting others at times? I pray that I can get better but it seems like the more I pray the more screwed up I get..why is God allowing these things to happen to me and why can't he stop it if people say God is more stronger than Satan?

just keep doing what your doing! calling on God! God allows you to fall under satan's hands and to go through lifes hardships to build your strength!keep your head up and trust in the Lord worrying about Gods power is making you vulnerable to satan! i 've been right where you are now when i first started to go to church and change my life satan constantly tried to pull me back in everything in my life went wrong in a matter of days but i prayed everytime i worried about where my life was going and of course my life didn't change instantly with those first couple of prayers because God is testing you and your strength against satan! Ive included a prayer for you that really helped me out and continues to everytime im stressed about life!
Father, when we confront temptation, when we stand face to face with evil, we pray that you would give us strength and that you would use your power to block the path of evil. Thank you for your promise that if we do what is right, eventually truth and justice will prevail. As we face the dilemmas and options of this time, remind us that good does reign supreme! God gave us the great gift of free will. We must CHOOSE to follow him. He will not force us to do it. He allows Satan to tempt us because it is a test to see if we are worthy to enter his presence after we die. If he forced Satan to not tempt us, he would be taking away our free will to choose. We would no longer have the option of choosing the wrong path, hence we would be forced to choose the right path.
God IS more powerful than Satan. If we choose to follow him, we will overcome the temptations of Satan. He will have no power over us. But we are not going to be able to overcome the power of Satan overnight. It takes work, and patience, and often a lot of time. You are praying and that is good, but you need to realize that it will take time. Keep trying.
Sometimes God needs us to ask others for help. Sometimes we have weaknesses built into our bodies that we need professional help to overcome, e.g. depression. One of the reasons we are here on earth is to help other people learn to follow God as we are learning to do.

First off you are the reason those things are happening to you. Are you living a life that is righteously pure in all ways possible, loving others unconditionaly, do you have a relationship with Jesus Christ? If the answer to the last question is no then that is the first place to begin, if your a christian then much prayer is needed for these things to leave. But a demon can only inhabit you as much as you allow it to do so. Remember in 1 John "He who is in me is greater than he who is in the world"

the lord is the maker of all and he loves you no matter what he is the only way to true peace .Satan is weak the only power Satan has is the power that you give him . you are a child of the one true god .and god loves all that he has made.the lord forgave you when his son died for you.now you must forgive yourself .the lord gave us the gift of free will because he knows that blind love is no love .Satan is a manipulator (the best) that is his only thing he can do he can not control or read minds but he can make you believe he can (he is really quit a sad sack)really pray and read the new testament .you have power over yourself for the lord god gave it to you and there is nothing that Satan can do to take it away (forgive yourself for the lord has forgiving you all you have to do is REALLY PRAY and believe

There is no god, there is no satan there is only you.
You need to decide how you are going to act, if you do not like the way you act then that is a good start. If you find it hard to stop acting this way seek professional help, a councilor or a psychiatrist they can help you realise why you chose to act this way.
But you must accept the full responsibility for what you do. Trying to blame the alter-ego of a pretend deity is just an attempt to deny that you are the one responsible for what you do.

God lets Satan have a few cracks at you to get you to recognize the enemy and then you must repent of your sins and ask Jesus to send his Holy spirit into you and then the demons will flee from you if you use the name of Jesus, this is the only thing that will make them leave, His name and the Blood of Jesus and command them to leave, read this page and make sure you have his holy spirit and then go read Ephesian 6-10 and Luke 10-18, you have authority over them but don't know it!

god gave each of us freewill ,so god is with us all the time [except] recall that god is pure good love etc so the except is except when our thoughts drive god away
its a huge concept that once you see clearly will fix your problems
god is like a innocent all loving huge puppy [pure loving ] and all loving [living beside you right now [allways beside you [except when we have bad thoughts]
you get angry , you
get that you drive god [love truth etc away] ,
and then just as jesus says an mind [or a house ] left vulnerable [ie not god protecting you , only because you had bad thoughts and god [food love ] gets pushed away [not by satan but your own ''bad '' fear'' hate '' doudtfull thoughts
the innocent perfect protector cant stop evil /vile satan [then ]comming in and abusing even through you just for a few seconds forgot ; just a mometary bad thought [but then as you know a rush of worse ones [thats when satan has been allowed [by you] to get past gods protections
if you imediatly send love to satan he is pushed away ,and god [good love peace fearlessness returns and satan has to go [he hates love and all that woosy stuff] ,he wants to suck in your fears your doudts , your hates its like food for him
god is way stronger than hate , but its your own thoughts that can release evil through you ,say sorry to love and god /good comes back ,but fear hate drives god away

Emotional problems or metal instability, etc. are medical situations and not connected with satan or God.
Stan CANNOT force anyone to do evil. He can TEMPT, but we have freedom of choice to go ahead or reject his temptation. Booze & drugs inhibits our ability tio choose sensibly. But trying the old "Devil made me do it" is a cop out. We are solely responsible for our own actions, and cannot blame anyone else if we make bad choices.
Medical help must always be sought out, that's why God gave us Doctors....

I think we have the freewill to control our mind and not to do evil stuff, not satan.
