Less painful reading from the computer. It either feels like the top of my brain is cold and numb, or that my brain is being shrink-wrapped, sometimes it's warm.

Sounds like you need to visit an optometrist. Even though your eyesight may not seem bad at all, it could be slightly fuzzy or the light from the computer could be hurting it. I had the same problem even though I have 19/20 vision in both eyes (which is better than 20/20) and I still need glasses for the computer when I use it for long periods of time.

Start with getting a vision check. you could be near sited or far sited. go get an exam. and if your eyes are fine then see a doc. tell the doc your symptoms and they will run some tests. don't panic though it could be nothing. just get checked out. good luck
