I'm going to the pier at Goose Island (Texas coast) in about a week. Gonna fish the pier from about 6 pm to 8 am. I've seen in the past lines that "glow" under the lights. Makes it easy to detect a bite while free-lining shrimp, I would imagine. I'm figuring about 10-12lb line, but what brand/type is it that gets a "glow" about it under the lights?

well I would buy a good line that wont break . that is whats important dont buy a line because it glows use a quality line. I prefer trilene

What you need to do is put something reflective on your rod tip . Like a tape or a sticker that is reflective . I think they have some stickers like that for marking trails . So you can see in the dark for deer hunting ,so you can find your way to your stand.

They may even make a premenant marker with glowing qualitys

Also there are Lighted bobbers or even a glow stick can be attached to your rod .

I've found that clear line (rather than the tinted stuff) picks up deck lights pretty well at night. I use Trilene Big Game, but other clear lines seem to work about as well.
