I'm 5'4, 125lbs... I know, it sounds normal, but I have improvement that can be done.
If I eat 1,400 good cals a day - fruits, veggies, lean protein, etc...
& go to the gym and burn 3,500 cals within a week doing cardio & lifting. (1lb of fat = 3,500 calories) do you think that I will see results? I've been doing this for about a month now, and I see it a TINY bit, but I'm impatient, and want to make sure that what I'm doing is right. Besides the gym, I have an active lifestyle, I work 5days a week at a coffee shop so I'm constantly moving, then go to the gym, then come home to do hmwk. I have been doing this straight for about a month & a week...
I have been working out for a year now, but not this good about it, I feel like i'm at the gym all the time tho and eat good all the time, and it just takes FOREVER - let me know what u all think . thanks.

dont count calories burned -there is no way you know them precisely, dont rely on machines.
compare to this:
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
dont try to lose more than 1-2lbs a week - its not healthy to lose more.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food

Hello! For someone as active as you are, it seems like you should be eating much more. 1400 calories is nothing; that probably barely covers your basal metabolic needs. How did you come up with these figures? Try to locate a calorie calculator online to find out how many calories your body needs based on your fat percentage, weight, and activity level. From there you can shave off about 250-300 calories, and in addition to your exercise regimen, you can expect to lose 1 to 2 pounds per week. You don't want to lose much more than this. The body must utilize fat stores for fuel, and this process takes a while. I admire your motivation. Keep it up.
