I believe some Mothers and daughter are so much alike that they don't see eye to eye or close, doesn't mean they hate you. It probably seems that way. I have one who we clash because we are so much alike, but when it come down to it we would anything for the other.

Usually personality conflicts. Often dad gets along with his daughter so well but seems to find nothing in his wife but conflict and frustration, mom sees this and is a little jealous of her daughter. But, of course, jealousy is not a nice thing so mom denies to herself that she's jealous yet she is too critical of her daughter, gets back at her daughter by making life difficult and expecting too much. Also, a lot of the raising of kids is left to mom alone, fathers aren't always there to know what goes on at home, they don't always want to know either. Mom has to be the disciplinarian so dad come off looking like the good guy all the time. Also, young girls often feel they are grown up and able to take care of themselves long before they actually can so parents (mom's in particular since they were young once) are usually more protective of daughters, the daughter feels like she's being unjustly confined. It's usually not until something truly bad happens to the daughter that she finally realizes why mom was being so strick. Many daughters only realize just how much peace of mind is wrapped up with the safety of your kids only when they themselves become moms and find themselves worrying over their kids.

That's because daughters find their mothers... well... SOMETIMES obnoxious. Hate is a strong word, though. A daughter can't possibly hate her mother. If ever you're a mother who is being hated by her daughter, back off for a while and sooner or later she'll cool down

I am sure that there is a reason, maybe the mother just doesn't want to see it because they don't want to be blamed

The mother may think it's not her fault. I think that she is in denial. My moms actions are why I don't like her, but she thinks she is wonderful. WRONG.
