It is because they do not understand how to read.

There can't be a rupture (That cracks me up LOL) Rapture for multiple reasons.

1. Matthew 24:21 - 22 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

Mark 13:19 - 20 For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be. And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.

Why shorten the days if God is going to Rapture the good little Christians away? Certainly the Elect would be among those he'd take! Certainly God wouldn't just leave some of his chosen and take some others!

2. 1 Corinthians 15:50 flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God

There wouldn't be people vanishing but lots of DEAD BODIES!

3. 1 Corinthian 15:51 - 52 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump:
NOTE: A TIME QUALIFIER AT THE LAST TRUMP! LAST IS A VERY CLEAR TIME FRAME REFERANCE!

4. 2 Thessalonians 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan

NOTE: A SECOND TIE FRAME QUALIFER! AFTER!
Very specific time frame referances!

5. 2 Corinthians 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

NOTE: If Satan is transformed and most Christians are thinking Jesus shows up first to rapture them away but it is really Satan perhaps that explains why Jesus would say this. . .
Matthew 7:22 - 23 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Or this

2 Thessalonians 2:2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

After all God Said he hated those who teach his children to fly!
Ezekiel 13:18 - 20 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the women that sew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of my people, and will ye save the souls alive that come unto you? And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear your lies?Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly.

NOTE: It was a woman that dreamed up this rapture idea in 1830!

Ummmm that might be rAptured and not rUptured. Raptured refers to those who are still alive being caught up into heaven when Jesus returns. Rupture is something quite different, consult a good dictionary.

Jesus will return to take His church (believers) to be where he is. Once the judgment of sin and death are complete (after the rapture) he will set up a new heaven and earth and his kingdom will have no end.

LOL

You mean 'raptured', lamb, not ruptured. Conservative Chistians want to be part of the Rapture so that they don't have to deal with the Trials and Tribulations thing on Earth. They just don't know that it's all a big conspiracy to get them out of here in the first place so that we pagans can be uninterrupted in our wild, unending orgies! :P

Because they don't completely understand the concept. "Rapture" is a word of Latin origin, not Hebrew or Greek, the languages of the Bible. Its Greek equivalent is harpazo, which is found in the Greek text of 1 Thes. 4:17. When translated into English, both words mean "to be caught up, or snatched away." Harpazo, the word Paul actually used, comes from roots that mean, "to raise from the ground", "take for oneself" or, simply, "to choose" (haireomai), all of which are akin to airo, "to raise up."

Raptured to be with God because after will be the 7 years of tribulation on earth not to mention the fact that it will be destroyed by fire. The kingdom will be built after all of this other takes place.

If I believe God, I will be raptured before the second Coming, not because I might want to, but because of what God set up beforehand. Because before that happens, God will pour His wrath out on the Earth, the 'church' will not suffer the wrath of God that Christ endured before.

In the Bible it states that there will be a new heaven and a new Earth. We want to be raptured away because this Earth will be destroyed and new Earth will be created in which we shall inherit.

lol...the term is "raptured".

First He comes back to get us, then He brings us back to earth to set up the new kingdom.

Because heaven is a better place than earth. Why would you want to live on earth when you can live in heaven?
