find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
dont try to lose more than 1-2lbs a week - its not healthy to lose more.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food

Best diet - only eat to the point when you cannot savor the food (notice I didn't say "did not TASTE the food") By this I mean eat to the point when you don't close your eyes when you are chewing your food OR when you stop saying "yum" or "mmmm!"
When this happens, stop eating! No matter how much is left on the plate, STOP EATING! Your taste buds are so bored by then that they want to take a break before they're ready for the next meal.
Best workout - go walk for about 30 minutes three times a week. Walk as fast as you can, swing your arms with your elbows bent and make sure to take a friend who will chat with you the whole way. Leave the iPod at home - you really want to take a friend who will interact with you and laugh with you.
With this plan you will start losing weight this week, why wait till august?
