Gods plan is in the Holy Bible.
His plan is that we can be saved by faith in the Lamb of God since the foundation (Rev.).
The Virginia Tech shooting was the devils plan. But God knew what was happening & God warned, but I don't know who was listening to God. I know that I have practiced seeking God first thing in the morning & following after the Spirit throughout the day, so I am not in the wrong place at the wrong time. Especially since 9/11. I thought something bad was going to happen, since I could feel it in the air; but I thought someone was going to hurt my horse. He was being loaded into the trailer when I heard (from the driver) about the planes crashing in the towers. Others with a prophetic gift saw visions of it, yet wasn't sure what it meant.
But God allowed the Virginia Tech shooting. For Gods righteous & just reasons. Hurricane Katrina was allowed to hit USA land & take land. When my childhood home town church was interceding for the hurricane to turn, one young lady fell into a trance & saw a vision, of a sword in Israely land dividing the land, then a sword in USA land dividing it. Then she heard the Words, Land for Land. And everyone knew God wasn't going to turn the hurricane away.
Before I heard this, I was wondering if there was a connection with Israel withdrawing from Gaza (since it happened right after)? And I have also since purchased a book of the conscequences of dividing Israel. God has a purpose with Israel. God sees Israel in the Land God promised Israel, all of it. Now, because of world wide pressure, including some in our government, are pressuring Israel to leave more land, like Golan Hights and completely West Bank, leaving them vulnerable to terrorist attacks. So? Is this why God lets USA terrorist attack our own. What is our part in dividing Israel right now? Obviously some in USA is doing something. Right now also, Condolisa Rice, is doing something with the proposed peace treaty between Israel & neighboring countries. Former President Carter is telling us not to vote for 2008 Presidential candidates who support Israel. You can purchase his book to read it for your self. But he said this in a speech lately.
God has a much bigger eyes who see the whole picture. And God allows things to happen based on things written in the Holy Bible.

Yes He has a plan. The plan is laid out in the bible. The bad things that happen are allowed, He has no part in them. He does not send people to kill others. They do this on their own. Revelation and the signs of the times show you the plan clearly. He told us what the world would be like, He gave us examples and things to look for so we would know when the time was near. He allows these things to happen so the things He told us will be true. The choice belongs to those doing the actual actions, they perform it, God just lets it happen. He warned us that tomorrow is promised to nobody, and that when you hear the word, THAT is the day of salvation. Those that do not listen suffer for it when something like the Tech shootings took place, they were not promised the next day, how many of them do you think truely believed and how many didn't? Only God knows for sure.
His grand plan as I said is in the bible. His personal plan for each of us is different, we are pieces to a machine. He runs the machine and it does the work, we are the parts moving to keep it operating. He could do it without us, but it lets Him be close to us, and us better understand Him. This is a good thing, and so He does it the way that is best for us all. We all have the choice to accept our place in the plan and stop our rebellion, or we can keep up the rebellion and be thrown out in the trash because the parts didn't want to fulfill their function and purpose.

Parents want the best for their children - happiness, success, a good education, a satisfying career. They have a plan for them. However, as the child grows the make good decisions and bad decisions. Maybe they choose to take drugs or drink too much. Possibly they commit crimes and get in trouble with the police. These are never things that the parent planned, yet they happened because of choices that the child made.
It is similar with God. God made us and has a plan for our lives, which includes joy, peace, and love. However, sometimes we make choices that go against that plan and bring pain and suffering into ou lives and others, such as the Virginia Tech shootings. But, this was never part of God's plan.
Just as jail was never part of the plan the parents had for the child yet the child ended up there, hell is not part of God's plan for us yet, through our choices and actions, we can end up there. God loves us and wants us to be with Him in Heaven forever, but, unfortunately, that does not always happen.
I hope and pray that you will understand God's plan for you.
God Bless!

Well... In my humble opinion "NO!!" i don't think God planned the Virginia Tech shootings, or the terrorist attacks..or any other horrible thing...
every person has Free will!! the choices they make are completely theirs.
And whether there is a hell..i say "most definently!" Those who live their lives doing those horrible things....such as VA Tech shootings and 9-11....well I believe those people are going to hell.....no one has the right to take the lives of others!!
And if your belive in God...then you should know that the bible says NO weapon formed against YOU shall prosper!! the people who are Christians and who die....some might blame God for their deaths...but I say....its the devil..he's out looking for people he can destroy...and if your going around saying "that could happen to anyone..." then yeah..it can happen to you...but its not gonna happen to me!

You know, things like Virginia Tech shootings happen because of satan, not God. I think alot of people are so apt to point the finger at God because he is the creator of the universe, therefore it's easy to use him as a scapegoat when bad things happen. But did you ever notice that blaming God usually occurs when the bad things are happening to other people instead of ourselves? Usually, when bad things are happening to us, we find ourselves crying out to God for help. Yeah, occasionally we want to blame God for our own personal crisis', but if the situation is bad enough, we will cry out to him...even the most stout atheist will bow before God at some point in time.
The V Tech shootings/nine eleven/etc... were planned by a humans, not by God. God's plan is constantly being attacked by satan through human beings and because God DOES have the power to end it at any time, we sometimes blame Him for not ending it. He will at some point end the suffering and make things right again, but he can't force us to do the right thing. That's a choice we have to make as individuals, and unfortunately, the human race is a fickle bunch of sheep that are more easily guided to do wrong than right. I'm sorry, but most humans need to have something tangible in front of them to make a god out of than serving the real thing, and that makes us very stupid creatures.
Do me a favor...read the book by C.S. Lewis called "Mere Christianity", and let me know what you think. There are alot of interesting points that he makes in that book that we really can't argue with because of the solid logic that he uses to explain our unanswered questions about alot of things. Other than that, all I can say is don't lose the faith man...satan has a plan, too, and that's to make us all lose the faith by creating situations like what happened at that campus. Because God gave us free will, we have the choice to believe that he made those bad things happen or the devil made them happen. And say a prayer for those that have been lost.

I don't believe that our measly little language can explain Gods plan, but I will do my best to share my opinion.
I believe that God is the electricity and we are the lamps.
We can choose to be plugged in or not.
The v-tech shooter was not plugged in.
We get plugged in through many different avenues; prayer, meditation, trust, lack of expectation, gratefulness.
I don't believe in hell, only lessons. I wonder myself where the v-tech shooter is...is he sad, is he in some weird place with a bunch of other hateful people?
We do tell others that God has a plan to make them feel better, but that's because people have learned that when they look back, everything happened for a reason.

Yes there is a hell. God cannot be held responsible for those who deviate from his teachings. Suicide, for example, is a sin because it robs God of His plan for your life. As far as tragedies like terrorist attacks and school shootings, from what I've seen three theories. First, the instigator(s) have deviated from God's plan for them and that is how evil things occur. Second,(which is the school of thought I prefer) I believe that tragedies like this are sent to teach us something. Tragedies are often wake-up calls, because of things like shootings and attacks, perhaps many lives will be saved due to increased security. Just God's difficult way of letting us know that we need to change. Third, the God of the Old Testament was a wrathful God. He often destroyed areas ridden with sin. (think Sodom and Gomorra and Noah's Ark stories, look them up if you need to) I feel awful to think like this, but I think the third might apply in some cases, such as with the destruction of New Orleans from Hurricane Katrina. The area promoted debauchery and pseudo-religous acts that are completely outside of the Chirstian religion.(like Voodoo, and anything of the like). You have to think it's at least a possibility, though lots of innocent lives were lost in the process, just the same as many of the instances in the old testament.(see the story of Lot, his wife turned to salt) It's not an easy question, and plenty of religous scholars will tell you plenty of different things. We, as humans cannot always understand God's plan, for one very simple reason--we are not God. Only He can understand why terrible things happen to good people and good things happen to terrible people.

God has a purpose, but it has nothing to do with hell or tragedy. In fact, the Bible says at James 1:13-15 it says: "When under trial, let no one say: “I am being tried by God.” For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone. But each one is tried by being drawn out and enticed by his own desire. Then the desire, when it has become fertile, gives birth to sin; in turn, sin, when it has been accomplished, brings forth death."
There is no hellfire. The teaching of a fiery hell was borrowed by apostate Christianity from the Babylonians and Egyptians, both of which taught the existence of a fiery, tormenting netherworld. This was done to try to scare their followers into doing or believing anything they taught, regardless or whether or not it is from the Bible.
Look at it this way:
If you had a stubbornly rebellious child who wouldn’t listen to you, would you hold their hand on a hot stove to punish them? No, of course not. Anyone who would should have their children taken away. We know from the Bible that “God is love” (1 John 4:8). He would never torment someone for eternity (which is a really long time) for the sins of just 70 years. Religions who teach about fiery hell have much to answer for before God.
God has nothing to do with the horrible things that happen on this earth. Some clergy might say "God works in mysterious ways" when things like Virginia Tech happen. But that's just because they don't know their Bible enough to give you a proper answer. Many people don't realize that God isn't ruling this earth right now, Satan is.
When Adam and Eve sinned, they (along with Satan) essentially said "We don't need you God, we can do fine without your help." So God said "Okay, give it your best shot..."
While God has maneuvered some world events to ensure that mankind has a hope for everlasting life, he doesn't control what happens on this earth. Why would he help a system succeed that He knows is flawed and wrong? It would just be helping the Devil's side of the argument. We are primarily responsible for the horrible things that happen on this planet. (Eccl 9:11)

God gave us all a free will. It is not him that made the foolish choices. But it is him that works it out for good for those who are left in mourning for there loved ones. God's plan is always about love. If something horrible happens it's usually because a person made a terrible choice.
As far as hell? I believe we make our own hell here on earth. (By the thoughts we think) God teaches us to keep our minds focused on good thoughts, lovely thought's, pure thought's. When we don't then we surely do live in hell.

First off God didn't "plan" for the Virginia tech murders or terrorists attack. Did He know they were going to happen ? My answer is yes.We were given free will, by God. basically, so we could make a choice as to whether or not we would love him. It's a person's own evil nature that leads him / her to do bad things
