Jesus questioned a lot of established religious thinking!
I think I should follow his lead!
It was considered a heresy then and it seems to be considered a heresy in these times also. Just look at the world today!

A means of growing... everyone should question the traditions of established religious thinking... there would be far less confusion

If you had lived in the 1400's, questioning the catholic church would've got you a few turns on the rack or worse, slammed in the iron maiden. Today, no. You should question your religion-always. Yes, it does help you to grow spiritually.
