You should see a doctor. For now, take some asprin or paracetamol to reduce the fever but go to a doctor to find out what's wrong with you.
38.6 is a fever but it's not super high but it's bad enough. You need to find out what's causing the fever, so consult a doctor

If you felt feverish, that is most likely why you took your temperature. You could have called a nearby emergency room and have them translate the reading. Sounds like you have not had a fever much in your life? The first thing that you want to do is to lower your fever. What have you used before that worked? secondly, drink alot of liquids and try to get some rest. If you have any severity of symptoms or have symptoms that you have never experienced before, i.e. chest pain, blurred vision, dizziness, uncontrolled vomiting, get to a doctor if this is a day time emergency and otherwise, opt to go to your nearest emergency room and if you live alone and these symptoms begin to frighten you, call an ambulance.
Next time, find out what is the best kind of fever/pain reducer that you should have on hand and learn some basic symptoms of the cold, flu, and depending on your age, current medical conditions, and other symptoms that may need your attention.

Well I'm not a medical professional but I did just get over the flu. If you are sick just take it easy and get as much rest as possible. If you are that worried then you should go see a doctor. symptoms vary from person to person but when I was sick I had a lot of mucus and I was very weak. I didn't have a fever but I got the chills. Drink lots of water and take pro-biotics. If you can't get any in pill form then eat lots of yogurt because it contains acidophilus and bifidus. A lot of people have been getting sick lately. Good Luck. Hope you feel better.

It could be a flu or virus. But I had the same conditions when I took a strong medication, in the wrong doses.

Make some tea or chicken bullion, phone your GP and make an appointment for first available slot, get in and get examined. If need be you'll get some meds and feel better in an hour.
