its not about miles, its about time you do cardio.
crunches will build muscle underneath the layer of fat and make it appear bigger. do crunches twice a week - its enough.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
dont try to lose more than 1-2lbs a week - its not healthy to lose more.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food

well it actually all depends on your specific body weight and shape. Not everyone is the same weight, so we need to adjust work-out plans according to our needs. What I would do, is do as many crunches you can and each day add and extra 1-5 more until you are being pushed to where you feel is a 'good, worthwhile' workout for you. Same thing goes with the running. Just push yourself a little bit more each day. Also, you know that your body is working itself when you break into a sweat (yes, very gross but that's how it works). It shows that your body is heating up and is needing to cool itself down. Oh yea, and it helps if you just keep a little journal or a chart showing how many you can do whenever you workout. It helps boost your enthiusiasm when you see that you are improving. The best of luck to you. hope you reach your goal!

Do it by time. Run 20 minutes a day. Do the crunches slowly until you feel the burn.

Don't bother asking. Just keep training yourself and maxing all of those exercises that you just mentioned. It's different for everyone anyways. Just do it to your full potential and watch yourself getting better at it while developing the body you want.
