I'm 5'3 and 170 last time I checked. Is there anything I can do to help trim off some weight. I was 125 this time last year and happy. But I cant seem to cut down my weight now. I don't live in a place where its safe to go out running, and I don't have the money to go to the gym or buy any fancy machines. I eat junk food once in a blue moon. I just ballooned up and I cant get it off. Any tips or diet advice would be GREAT.

oops i ment NOT safe to go out running.
and, i keep to a low sugar diet because Im not suposed to have sugar. it screws me up and causes problems with my kidneys. I drink mostly green tea [ because its so yummy ] and water. I cant remember the last time i had anything other then that. I eat as helthy as I can living with a food fanatic . I think I ballooned up because my boyfriend and I went to his house in FL for the winter, and we did nothing but sit around, relax and eat. I had a super delux bowl of icecream every night among other horrible foods, like gummie bears and cheetos [ yes, 100% straying fom my very low sugar diet and paying for it 10 times over]

No choice but to cut down on food intake. Eat lots of veggies, fruits, drink juice without any sugar, eat wholemeal bread and once a while, allow yourself to eat rice but still in a little portion. Frequent eating of steam fish, tofu is also good. But still you need to have chicken meat as well. Steamed it! Drink lots of water. Do not indulge in eating chocolates, puddings, cakes or sweets. Avoid all junk food totally! It make you gain weight. Oh ya, drink soup is also good. You don't have to go out to exercise, Just turn on the radio and listen to a fast song music and start dancing till you really sweat. It helps to save time and money. Don't have to buy expensive machine. Waste money. Try this tip ok? I'm currently trying to cut off my weight as well and changing my menu too. Hope it works for you. Good Luck! Regards.....

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
dont try to lose more than 1-2lbs a week - its not healthy to lose more.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food

I would first find out why you gained so much weight so fast in a year. Something might be wrong with your health (i.e. thyroid). I would see your doctor first and figure out from there. There's no reason to gain that much weight in that short of time unless there's an underlying health issue. You should get that resolved first.

drink lots of water, eat from smaller plates, walk for exercise or get some exercise videos or dvds from the library.
More easy exercises are jumping rope, walking for 30 minutes a day (even broken up into 10-15 minutes blocks is okay), see exercise programs on tv, yoga, belly dancing, just dancing vigorously, just march in place while you watch tv.
cut out junk foods, eat 4-6 smaller meals a day. EAT BREAKFAST!!!!
good luck

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!

yes, run, bike, walk up & down stairs. whatever you can do to sweat & get your heart racing. and do it for atleast 30 min 5times/week. also eat low-fat, low sugar. only consume beverage calories in milk. stay away from white starches, go for whole-grains instead. and drink plenty of water & green tea. good luck-

eat less, cut the soda, salt, and fatty foods even the one in the blue moon. don't eat then sleep right after. night meals should be the smallest. if you cant run around your neighborhood then put on your running shoes and run whenever you can. when you run... run as fast as you can... sprint as long as you can.
when you do this, think of it as a culture of your eating habbits. dont think of it as a diet.
good luck!
