just want to suggest something.
dont read the bible without praying for guidance to understand it.
some read it more than 10 times and achieve nothing.
some haven't read the whole bible even once but God reveal a lot of thing to him/her because he's not only reading but meditates in the scripture. Its not about reading the whole bible three times a year. its about commited to reading, studying, and meditating the word of God and what he wants you to do in your life. And someday you will find out why david says that "Your word is a light unto my path"
there's just so many things in the bible that we could learn and be blessed for.

I have read the whole flawed, man-made Bible. This idea of having to be saved is utter nonsense. That's a guilt trip put on people to hook them into a fake religion.

Keep reading. Even the parts that bore you to tears. The truth is there. I've read it through at least 5 times. Dozens if you take the little snippets here and there. Different translations and commentaries don't count, but I've read them too. I only wish I could read it as it came off the pen and onto the paper.

Yes, I've read it.

Your physical body won't be saved. Spiritually speaking, you can be saved. All men will experience the first death (the physical one). A lot will experience the second death (the spiritual one).

The planet Earth is doomed. God has to intervene at some point or we will destroy ourselves.

So, saved in what sense?

Yes, but in the end it is your choice. Do YOU want to be saved? Then, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and YOU WILL BE SAVED! cf Acts 16:31

Yes I have. A few times actually.

Can we be saved??? From what???

A God that made knowledge of good and evil (The very thing that gave us freewill) forbidden?
A God that then turned around and said DO NOT KILL, but in order to be forgiven of so called sins you had to kill an animal for him? (Animal Sacrifice)
A God that by Christian terms wasn't satisfied with Baptism and Repentance for the remission of sins even though that is what was being done in Mark 1:4 and Luke 3:3 but instead required a HUMAN SACRIFICE to appease his anger?

A God that will judge and condemn anyone to torture that doesn't wash themself in the blood of Jesus! (Why anyone would want to be washed in blood literally or figuratively is beyond me)

This God sounds awfully brutal to me!
Not the kind of being I would want to spend five minutes with let alone eternity!
And one I definately couldn't praise!
I certainly wouldn't have praised Hitler and this God is far more brutal then he was!

I have, cover to cover, more than 20 times. I'm not many credit hours away from a degree in Bible Studies.

It's one of the primary reasons I'm an atheist.
