My vet has a program when there is high risk of the mother passing the pups worms that starts before they are born and goes up to two weeks but I believe it can only be done with a few wormer types. Check with your vet. You can worm the pups at 2 weeks though 3 weeks will set them back less.

You should wait til the pups are at least 4 weeks. At that age the mom needs a break from the pups plus they should be starting to eat some solid food.

A month at least. At that point, you'll be able to start weaning the pups.

And, this all depends on the type of "work" you want the female dog (can't use the proper term here, Yahoo yahoos don't like it)to do.....remember, she just had a litter, and needs to regain her strength after whelping and nursing.

At the very least you shouldnt have her away from the pups for more than a few minutes for at least a month I would even say not until they're weaned.

8 weeks. Wait until pups are no longer dependent on her.

I start working a b*tch the day after she whelps. Just remember she has an "undercarrage" and don't ask for to much. It is absolutely foolish to allow her conditioning to deteriorate any more than necessary.
