I did once. I was driving my van as I just picked up 3 disabled people. I turned on my radio and started singing a Christian song, when all of a sudden I left my body while I was driving. I saw myself praising God, while I was still driving! It was really cool. My soul circled my body. It was so wierd seeing myself from the back as I passed right through the vehicle's glass and metal sides and roof. It was awesome and it lasted for over a minute or so.

Once, it took alot of concentration but I managed to astrally project myself to a friends house where I accidentally scared the living daylights out of her brother and managed to set her budgie's loose (they sleep in a cage). I haven't been brave (or stupid) enough to try since, guess I'm worried what mischief I might get up to.
Generally speaking you must be familiar with either the place you are projecting to or a person in that place.

I have also come to the realization that God dwells within my heart.
If God dwells within my heart, why then would I ever want to leave my body, unless God commanded it to be so?

I'm not sure if I believe in it, but I have felt like I've left. It once seemed like I was flying past farm houses in the Midwest at an incredible speed, where I have never been. It was so vivid it was frightening, but fun!

I have been able to do this 2 times in my late teens and once in my late 20's. I believe this is called astral projection, and many people have been proven to have this gift.
