You don't have to recite your prayers out loud for God to hear... as long as he knows you praying or just talking to him, then its all good.

There are some people who are so showy when they worship... it seems like hypocrisy, especially if you know how these people live their day to day lives. It is better to be quiet.

God knows everything we think about, God knows what we need, but we have to acknowledge that we need help by praying and communicating with him because then he will know that we believe in him.

One thing to remember is that God is the father of all life. We as christians have a heads up on all creation. We speaking to the Father talk to him as if he was your daddy or best friend for so He should be. But even if you are in a place that you are not comfortable talking out loud God knows the heart and the very thoughts of man. Hope this helps.

God can hear your prayers even if you don't speak it out loud and you don't have to kneel to pray to God. Kneeling is a sign of submission, as bowing before officials, like kings etc. It is a good sign though and humbling when you go before the King of kings and Lord of lords to fall on you knees; but even if you don't God looks at the intent of your heart and motive and love when His children come to Him and call on Him. So don't stop praying ever. Love, be bless.

God reads your thoughts, even those you can't express. He sees into your heart, your motivations, your desires...and he knows you better than you do. Nothing is hidden from God.
Why do we pray aloud? Well, sometimes we need to acknowledge our needs, and praying aloud helps us do that. And in the case of repentance, putting a name to things helps you to be aware of what it is you're doing. In the case of praising and thanking God, it's sharing what we feel with others, or again, expressing what we feel.
The spoken word has power in spiritual things. Saying them aloud gives them more weight.
So, when you're troubled or weary, silent prayers ARE heard, but it's good to pray aloud as well. You don't have to use fancy words, since God knows every word we speak before it's on out tongue, but you do get more out of the prayer experience treating it as a conversation with your closest, dearest friend.

You don't necessarily have to speak the prayers aloud BUT, here's an idea and the reason I give it.

Don't just recite prayers.

Try speaking your prayers aloud just like you are talking to your best friend.(because you are) Talk to him about the things that you appreciate. Talk to him about the things that hurt. Talk about the things that bother you. Tell him about the things you think you need, the things that you would like to have, the things you would like to have done, your friends who need healing, blessing, etc, etc.
Get the general Idea?

Always... Give him thanks for the blessings he has given you.

Now the reason I say speak it aloud... Because when you receive an answer if you have spoken the request out loud you will remember having spoken it... You will find that it strengthens your Faith and reminds you to go to him in thanks.

Blessings,
Chaplain John

No, you do not have to recite your prayers out loud. Remeber Hannah, the mother of Samuel prayed quietly to herself and the priest Eli thought she was drunk. She prayed earnest prayer quietly. Just make sure when you pray, that you do not repeatedly ask God for the same thing over and over. You only Have to ask Him one time. After that you just keep praising Him and thanking Him for it until it comes to pass.

He certainly knows your heart and your mind better than you could ever know them yourself, sweetie. Silent prayer is perfectly OK sometimes, but personally, I like to pray out loud when I'm "alone" with Him. It helps me to focus my thoughts and it just feels more like a conversation when I can hear myself offering the prayer. I feel as if I'm reaching out toward Him a little farther. He gets the message either way, though.

I am normally making my prayers silently. God knows all and hears all. You could be praying at the top of your lungs or with pin drop silence and he still hears what you are saying.

God knows us intimately. God know our thoughts and much, much, more.

Psalm 139
1 O Lord, you have searched me and you know me. 2 You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. 3 You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. 4 Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O Lord. 5 You hem me in--behind and before; you have laid your hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.

7 Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? 8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. 9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, 10 even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. 11 If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me," 12 even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you. 13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. 15 My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, 16 your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

God hears your heart not your words but I always talk to God out loud..try to anyway. I don't talk to anyone else per whisper or thought so I wouldn't feel comfortable taking to God that way
